Bright Blessings to All

I have come to a point in my travel of the Craft that has me stuck. I have always did things my way. Now I've realized that you can't always have it your way. That is why I write this post. I need to go back to basics. I feel you can't get no more basic than Circle Casting. I have never bothered with it, cause honestly I never fully understood it. When I frist learned of Circle Casting it called for a cord nine feet in length. When formed into a circle it isn't that big. And for my understanding the circle is only the point where the energy ball connects with the ground. Now correct me if I'm wrong. I stand six feet, two inches. So shouldn't the width of the circle be equal to my height? As you can see I'm lost on this one. So I would be very greatful for any help.

You don't need a rope and you don't need to limit the size, depending on what you are doing. Read more, diferent people an books, and find a way to do it that suits you.

Now, in my Trad ... It's done like this. The Cord has a loop at one end. Picture a tent stake attached to cording ... you loop the cord over the stake and pull the cord out to the desired length ~ our cords have knots to signify different radii. You pull the cord taught and go around in a circle, outlining the borders as you go. Tuh-dah! Perfect outline! :D

You can just simply use the Athame to cast the circle also. There is more than one way to cast a circle it all depends on which text youve read.

What's an Athame?

It is a black handled double edged knife, which is never used for cutting anything on the physical plane.
