Some Recipes for You!!
Crystal Soaps
24 Ounces Clear, Unscented
Glycerine Soap
Red and Violet Food Color
Pale Green and Purple Mica Dust
1/2 Teaspoon Fragrance Oil
You'll need molds for this soap:
A plaque of 6 rectangular bars
4x6 Rectangle
(Kelly used a baking dish and cut the pieces into the correct sizes, however you can use a box type photo frame that are available at Wal-Mart, Target and K-Mart, as well as Michaels and Ben Franklins.)
Melt 8 ounces of the glycerine soap. Remove from heat and add four drops of violet food color, 10 drops of fragrance oil and 1/4 Teaspoon purple mica dust. Stir gently until blended. Pour the soap into the small molds and allow to set until hard. Remove soap from molds and cut each bar into three lengthwise pieces.
Follow instructions above to melt 8 ounces of soap, adding two drops red food color, 1/8 Teaspoon green mica dust and 10 drops of fragrance oil. Mold and cut as above.
To make the crystals, refer to the photo and use the knife to cut small angled slices from one end of each soap length to form the top points. Cut 1/4 to 1/2 inch from the bottom ends to flatten and create varying crystal lengths.
Following first step again, to melt remaining soap, add four drops of red food color and 10 drops of fragrance oil. Pour soap into the 4/6 mold. Immediately arrange and stand the crystals on end, side by side in the mold. Let soap hard completely.
Carefully remove soap from large mold and cut into 3 or 4 bars.
Rub green and violet mica dust with your fingertip on some of the the crystal points for highlights.
Wrap the bars indiviually in plastic or clear cellophane.

Soften the cocoa butter (in microwave or allow to sit on gas stove where pilot will soften it) Don't melt it. Heat the oil and melt the beeswax in the oil.
