This always confuses me, but I never bothered to ask....when the moon goes full in the AM (like tomorrow) , it's already waning by nightfall. So do you do your full moon stuff the night before when it's waxing gibbous, or the night of the full moon when it's waning gibbous? :whatmewor

I think as long as you do it within a day or two of the actual full moon you're still in that "full moon energy" and that counts! Not everybody can drop what they're doing or wake up early to catch the moon right when it's exactly full...I usually try to do whatever I'm doing that evening (either the night before or the night of, depending). Whatever works for you!

Ive always considered that for most spells, the full moon is a three day period, same with the new moon... but if your being really ceremonial, try to just get up early, though I know that can be a pain... the night before is probably best if you cant.

Not just ceremonially, but scientifically. Every documented effect of a full moon lasts from the day before full through the day after.

+/- two days is close enough for me... unless it is something VERY delicate.

I was taught that there is a 3 day window for a full moon. The Great Mother blesses us during that time.

I also go by the three-day rule. :D It's going to come in handy this time around, when I'm going to be REALLY busy tonight.

She was so beautiful hanging almost-full over the mountains around 6 AM, in a clear sky that she alone adorned. The sun was about to penetrate the Eastern horizon, but had yet to do so. In that moment, she let me know that everything would be alright.
