View Full Version : What's the most magickal thing you've done?
Hazel BlueMoon

I was thinking of this question while driving to the bank...and I was just wondering, how real magick is and how advanced my fellow MW peers are.
Now, I don't mean the magickal things in life (child bearing, marrying, etc...) I mean, real magick, something you've conjured or made happen through magick.
I can't wait to read all of your responses.
Blessed Be.

I did a ritual to ask for help in finding my destiny, and my purpose in this world... nothing more, nothing less.
I'd say it was an overwhelming success. _cloud9_ _inlove_
EDIT - perhaps I should clarify. I've thought for the past several years that I'd need to go to NY or LA to get my career off the ground, but it was nothing more than thinking. I wasn't taking action. Now I have a reason to take action and have strength. She's my everything.

I was thinking that it was a good question....I am also very interested....thanks for that info...see, I didn't know that. Usually at this time, I'm at work. I was also beginning to wonder where everyone was!

Last spring I redid my house blessing after I got rid of some ornery roommates. Everyone who came in afterwards noticed "something different" and stayed to visit where they felt comfy.
I've cast protections over my children, slipped on a more intimidating aura and called home a lost pet.

I asked for a teacher, and got one the next day. I asked for a resolution to a relationship triangle, and got one two days later. I asked for $25 dollars, and wasn't specific, so I didn't get an additional $25, just that exact amount subtracted from my bill. :D
I blessed my workspace and charged it to only let love pass through, and all day people hung out at my space and lingered, which they never do normally (they would get in trouble.)
The worst spell I ever cast was to get rid of some swelling in my throat. I came down with bronchitis, which did get rid of the sore/swollen throat. :hehehehe:

The most magical thing I have ever done was the simplest thing in the world. I held my girlfriend close, looked into her eyes and kissed her.

Blatantly magical works of thaumaturgy?
Well, I worked a spell over the course of a week which immediately
resulted in us finding, and buying, our "dream house", narrowly
avoiding being tossed out onto the streets by our landlord.
At the time, we had bad credit, no money to speak of, and a long
history of apartment hopping. The momentum built up within that
week-long working literally threw us into homeownership with no
prior considerations. One week we were about to become homeless,
the next week we were signing the deed.

.
I should probably mention that the morgage payments for this
house were, and still are, significantly lower than what we
had been paying in rent; we have since been able to pay off
our debts, and are more comfortable now than ever. One stipulation
I conceeded, in working the spell, was that I would use the property
to establish and maintain a suitable shrine to my gods, which
became my first and only priority upon moving in.

i'm sure the good people of MW will be a bit offended i used magic for harmful reasons, but i still feel it was entirely justified-
i am pretty sure my evil thoughts towards people caused several car accidents, including:
a girl who's car was hit by a falling tree, while the two cars next to hers were unharmed.
a guy yelled at me from his car, and it broke down while i could still see it.
another man, a nasty father of a friend's, had a head on collision (no injuries)
a boy was rude to me, and locked his keys in his car right as he turned around from saying something.
i can't think of the others... but i know there were more. this all happened over the course of about 8 weeks, and it was everyone i disliked. i was drunk off my own power, and i didn't even wish for anything to happen.

Could you be more specific about the kind of Magick that you're talking about?
Is it the kind where you seal someone in a Widdershins Pentagram at the 22nd hour of Samhain and you have two dozen people trying to figure out how you did it even though you did in front of about 50 people?
Or are you talking about the kind of Magick where a person leaves a death curse on your set-up and now you have the entire Magical community in the French Quarter trying to figure out why it didn't work?
Then there is the kind of Magic one uses to dispell a Satanic Curse. Is that the one?

I oficiated a Handfasting for two very dear friends in the presence of non-pagans, and with a very Christian individual as part of the ceremony.
Nevermind the fact that both myself and the bride nearly went up in flames, and the whole ceremony was held under a downpour. Fire and Water blessed that day, I tell you.

I don't really do much practical magick (no pun intended) My majority of spells and rituals are for protection peace or healing. The strongest one I did was a protection one the 'all elements protection amulet' when I was truely afraid for my life. I almost burnt the house down and vowed never to light paper at night ever again. But yeah as you can guess using all five elements is pretty powerful in itself, let alone calling on silver fire and stars seperatly made it specific to me, and done on the witching hour. I can tell you, the energy stayed in my room for a month. But hey I no longer need to wear the thing all hours, and whenever I do wear it it seems that nothing can hurt me.
So potent.

I did a spell to get over my fear of driving and it worked very well, I've been driving for 3 years now. I also did some spellwork to find a house and well it took 3 years, but now I'm in my own house with about 2 acres to play with!!

The most (practical) magickal thing I've done is jump started a car. We were up in the mountains, with no cell signal, and the boys had left the lights on in the car. To make the long story short, it was a full moon, I drew down the energy from the moon, listened to the Goddesses voice and channelled it into the car battery. I have a "thing" with electrical energy. I blow out light bulbs, etc. Today, I fixed my computer with magick, after the IT people had been working on it for an hour or so. It needed some balancing. I know it sounds weird, but it happens.

That's kind of what happened to me. When I was living with my abusive mother, I was about 14 yrs. old, and only dabbling in Witchcraft, and my mom hurt me one night and when she was gone, I chanted over and over that I wanted her to die. Then she got into a car accident. She fractured her leg, and needed stitches. I felt so bad. I don't know if I had anything to do with it, but I vowed to never, ever curse anyone again. I'm also very different now with my 'Craft than I use to be. As I'm sure you are also...

Interesting question! Let's see....
Sitting inside my circle doing protective spells while i could feel, and kind of see, the not-so-nice spirit thingys in my house (the ones I was trying to protect myself from) who were swirling around it, trying to interrupt or something. :yikes:
I have a condition wich there is no known cure for (chronic fatigue syndrome, or ME), and of course I have been trying to heal myself. I'm not healed yet, but my health has drastically improved and my life quality has changed so much it is hard to believe. I can't explain everything, but I would for example get hints and tips from many different places to try this and that, like Nikken wristbands. They are magnetic and they more or less removed the pain in my muscles wich was my biggest problem at the time. Or my sisters TV turend itself on and the show that was on gave her the idea of some fat-acids, or whatever, I might need. Turend out to be true. And stuff like that.... Yay! :clapping:
Recieving visions about the future and being able to stop a couple of accidents from happening. (And not being able to...:awwman: )

Oh, and also a few telepathic (the kind where you hear the other persons voice) incidents. And when I was about 17 I constantly knew what people were about to say, what they were about to do just a few seconds in advance. It annoyed me in the end, maybe that's why I can't do it anymore?

Healed a woman of a crippling medical condition that could not be explained or diagnosed by doctors. Used a cigar to blow smoke into her. Other healings here and there.
Worked with a friend to bring someone out of a coma who had died, been brought back, and then been given about 12 hours to live. Used a song that just sort of moved through me rather than come from me. That was last month. The formerly dead guy is back to normal now but looks at me and my friend a little differently.
Told a friend about what she is, a dormant shaman, and as I tell her I feel the spirits grip the back of my head where they always mount me and as they squeeze tighter telling me what to tell her, the light flickers and dims and finally goes out. When they were done I said "You can turn the light back on now" and they did. Seriously freaked out my friend.
These are normal regular things for me. Being a shaman and working with spirit is not a hobby or a lifestyle for me. It's the only reason I'm here. I'm almost nonfunctional in normal society, but I can do these other things.

In dreams I've seen glimpses of the future. That's been happening since I can remember.
The most dramatic example was when in fifth grade I saw a friend break his arm on the jungle-gym at recess. About three months later I had the most uncanny de ja vu and, as I turned around looking for the reason, my friend fell from the equipment and DID break his arm!
Those types of occurances (almost always accompanied by that uncanny "I have been here before" feeling) happen all the time. It isn't magic as you've defined it, however, because I don't try to do it consciously.

As far as telepathic abilities, I have a knack for making red lights change for me. I learned this when I had a car that liked to run hot in the alabama heat. I can tell who's calling without looking at the caller i.d, and have prophetic dreams. this is after years of tuning these skills however. As far as spell casting, I most recently did a luck bag charm to help not only improve my crumy luck but also my family's. Two days after I found the car I was looking for. (I desperatly needed a new one, and had given up hope on finding the one I was looking for, then opened the paper and there it was, at a great price.) Great thread by the way

The most recent event was a dear sweet friend at work. She has allergies to all kinds of things. She bought something new to use on her face.It practically blistered her face. She was in so much pain and agony.Without even thinking I took on some of her pain.I didn't realize it until I got home from work that I had the same kind of blisters on my face as were on hers that morning.Hers did seem to look better at the end of the day.Her doctor told her that she was sorry she forgot to inform her that she was allergic to a certain ingredient that was in the product she had purchased.Thats the latest thing. I have performed spells over the years successfully when there was a need to do so: I do not think everything requires a spell IMO.( but thats just me)

There's quite a few things. The first time I felt a wave of energy off of a crowd of people walking out of a movie theater. The first time I saw the spirit inside of a supposedly inanimate object. Hearing the thoughts of an animal. Casting a spell to help a friend with a legal matter and having the outcome go exactly as I intended. Helping a confused spirit realize that he was no longer living is a high point. He had died in a car accident and had been Catholic in life. He was having an affair and because he had not been to confession he was certain he was going to go to hell. Because of this fear he refused to recognize his own death. I helped him to understand that he had nothing to fear.
I've had a lot of wonderful moments.
