That certainly sounds like a mess.

Involving the police would certainly be one way to go about it. Don't bother trying to explain to the police about the magickal aspect. Just tell them that these people are killing people (Do you have any evidence?) and being cruel to animals (Again, do you have any evidence?).

I would advise against using a binding. Every binding that I've ever heard of ties your energies to them. Is that something you'd REALLY want? Bindings are an incredibly serious matter and usually either done by those who are already controlling the lives of the persons anyway, or by self-sacrificing individuals who are willing to do it for the 'greater good'. Me, I just simply don't suggest bindings. And in this particular case, if they are indeed involved in these things, then providing a link between you and them is not a wise thing to do, because they could send countless spells and spirits across it to attack you.

If you need to cleanse negative energies from yourself or around you, burning sage (while smelly) is a powerful cleansing tool. So is sea salt. (Though not to burn, but to cleanse by washing with sea-salty water.)

I agree. You don't want to go anywhere near their nasty energy. I don't even think many elders (ie. decades and decades of Pagan experience) would want to muck about with that, and would instead call the police. Remember, mundane before magick :)

Well i didn't know that about binding, but that's why i asked. They cover thier tracks a few are cops themselves, and CPS workers and other important people, and the proof has "dissapeared" so besides sage and sea salt what can i do, these "demons" are powerful, and i'm scared.

Then don't mess with it. Tell your friends what to do and let them try it first.

I could mention a million thing to help protect you.

Ultimately though, the biggest thing you can do is simply to not feed energies into the belief that any 'demon' they can summon can harm you.

If you feel strong, you are stong.

When it comes to battles of magick and energies, the main key is simply belief. Believe in your safety. Believe in your strength. Believe that nothing they do can harm you. Without that solid foundation, the walls you build to protect yourself will easily topple.

Ya know... you're absolutely right. Don't be afraid of the dark, so to speak. The only thing in the dark that can hurt you is running blindly into a doorjamb. :ahhhh:

if you are anything like i am you are not going to be able to
sit back and watch others be harmed.i dont practice the dont get involved unless its directed at me myself.it sounds as if you have run into some form of satinism.the question is if some one is harmed because you chose to stay uninvolved can you live with
that?or could you be held as some form accomplice by not speaking out or worse how much of a threat are you to THEM that
they may come after you for fear of your speaking out?are you a liability?if you choose to stay quiet i would suggest you do some
form of protection or uncrossing for yourself. if you are wondering
what you can do i would contact a lawyer that i trust or that someone you know trusts, than if the police are involved or covering up contact a news org.and the fbi.but make sure lots of people know what you are up against it keeps you in the spotlight.
i wish you luck, here if you need.
bright blessings

I have to disagree with you guys on this. Having friends who have had to deal with wraiths and other very nasty things I can tell you there are things way beyond our understanding and control. I know elders who don't muck about with these things because they are just plain dangerous. If these people that have been mentioned *are* summoning demons then one new Pagan is not going to be able to stop them. I know if I was in that situation, as someone who's only been studying and practicing for 4 years I would run (not walk) to my most experienced, most powerful friends and have all of us get together to do something, *after* doing everything humanly possible to solve it mundanely. Doing anything magickal is liable to give them a trail to follow. I sure as heck wouldn't face this alone, bravado or no.

Point well taken Willow Raven.

However, I didn't say belief was the only protection needed. I just said that without setting the foundation with belief, no protection spell, ward, talisman, etc., in the world will amount to a hill of beans.

So, to me, Shandrel's first step should be to conquer any fear of what they could do. To act on fear is to walk down the path of defeat. One can be concerned without being afraid.

Once that has been accomplished, then Shandrel should work on doing something. And I agree with you, that it would be wiser to seek strength in numbers.
