The next time that they are having a loud party, call the police. I think, depending upon where you live, there's only a certain amount of times they can be warned before they are kicked out.

join the club >_< *is currently listening to her neighbors stupid bass from the stupid loud movie they watch :::all::: the time* there are many angers. I live in a student apartment complexe...our neighbors to one side (the girls) are quiet. the boys who live next door, are loud, party, and generally extremly inconsiderate of those who live near them. They also do not respond to any of our actions to get them to shut up. So, consequently I've taken the liberties of trying to show them magickally that it is wise to be considerate of their neighbors...it's seemed to work, at least a little. This past week they were ::very:: quiet...until now... >_<
basically what I did was a) put up a nice thick shield between our two apts on teh wall that seperates them in hopes it might relflect noise back to the apt it originates in (dunno if it does that, but it at least keeps their energies from seeping into my apt and vice versa...well except for the ones i purposefully send :deviltail b) since i beilieve in teh rule of three i invoked that upon them, basically saything may they get what they deserve for being so inconsiderate of their neighbors, c) I did a spell so to help them realize that their actions do effect their neighbors and to realize that they should probably be a little more considerate of them. I've sealed all these things w/ a blue flaming pentacle of energy on the wall that both apts share. I've done this many times, usually while listening to the bass while trying to fall alseep. >_<
also, next time they have a party, and i'm gonna go to bed, or the party is so loud we can't watch tv down stairs and it sounds like a party in ::our:: apt, I'm so calling the cops. I don't care, they deserve it. I've run out of patience and tolerance for them.
Good luck w/ your neighbors!! :)

I'm all for shielding to keep out the neighbors "uck" from bleeding over. What about creating a nice rose colored "bubble" of peace and quiet starting in your place and sort of "oozing" over into theirs? If you have access to them get some lavender, patchouli, and vervain..mix the dried herbs in equal quantities and burn the mixture to help support your rose colored "bubble"....it also has the benefit of smelling great.....it's amazing how "calm" a place can get with this blend of herbs...even if you do smell like a "musty old hippie"..;) either that or take up yodelling or the tuba and practice whenever the nincompoops next door are trying to sleep.......;)

We have been dealing for over 2 years with neighbor problems. I can definitely understand where you are coming from. Moving is not an option, even though it has been discussed a few times quite seriously. Most of our problem is with the ones upstairs from us. I won't go into the details [but yes, some of the same that has been mentioned already], but it's also been from the ones across from us and even in the apartments behind us too. One time we had the cops called on us because we had our TV too loud [and we had it loud because of them!].
Also, after making complaints to the leasing office, we suddenly found that we had some complaints put back on us. Not noise but other stupid things, such as trash bags outside our door, empty beer cans, bottles, cig butts littered outside the property, breaking glass containers and not cleaning it up, etc. etc. which we are the only ones out of the 4 apts NOT doing this [since we don't smoke, we don't drink and don't drink iced capps] which would attract bugs.
I definitely appreciate some of the other suggestions and ideas given here and may give them a go. Though calling the police has been hard here because by the time they get here, the guilty neighbors have seen them rounding the corner and there is nothing going on. As soon as they leave, it starts again. And there is only so many times you want to be the ones calling the cops too.
Good luck to you and I hope that you find something that works!!!

im dealing with my stupid neighbores for 2 years now too..
and these are NOT college kids.. these are grown adults who just dont have any respect or regards to anyone in the neighborehood.
they yell, throw things, talk loud, play LOUD music at all times of the day, regardless of ANYTHING..
i was SERIOUSLY considering unleashing the wrath of The Morrigan at them  but I decided to be the bigger person and stray away from chaos magick & co.
The police cant help anymore... moving is not an option... I guess just being patient, thinking positively & ignoring as much as possible (as well as breathing deeply & counting to 100) is all thats left to do :whatgives
I can totally relate though.

Haha I remember living in the dorms and having that problem! The bass on their stero was turned up so loud any glass of water sitting in the room was an instant reminder of Jurassic Park! Hell my bed was vibrating! I grabbed a presciption medication bottle, walked over to their open door, starting explaining to them about a medical condition that causes my heart to irregularly beat and the high vibrations (such as those caused by bass) can cause it, then I started hyperventilating and passed out. They turned the bass down so fast and I never heard more then slightly all semester!!

If a neighbor plays innocent when the police show up and then start up again when the police leave, maybe you could get their behavior on video. Also, if the problem neighbors are renters you can get the landlord involved and tell the person how these people are bringing the property value down.
This is one of several threads I've seen recently where people have explained how they are being attacked in some way but they say they don't want to attack back because of the Harm None thing. That's Wiccan, isn't it? I'm not sure, but I think I understand the principle of it. But when you are being attacked, whether it's physically, emotionally, verbally, psychologically, etc. or by certain behaviors that invade your life and cause stress and deteriorate your wellbeing, isn't it okay to hit back? You aren't maliciously attacking anyone, you're defending yourself. In a good martial arts class you are taught to never strike first, but if someone attacks you then you stop the attack and the attacker as quickly and efficiently as possible. It is self defense. It should have no karmic ramifications. I think that any deity that watches over you, protects you, and cares about you would not have a problem with you defending yourself and may even help you do it. Or does the Harm None creed mean never ever hurt anyone even when they are hurting you? I'm not saying to actually hurt anyone, but they can be made to go away.

I'm lucky that I dont have any noisy neighbours, but my neighbours arent that much better than yours. My neighbours are salting our garden, our apple trees that are kinda close (they do not go over to their property) are dying. We have found corns of salt in the lawn that is near their property. We've called in an expert who said it really is weird that the apple trees are dying and he said it might be because of salt so we got the earth analyzed but since it has been raining like all summer the traces of salt has disappeared...
I have no idea what we're supposed to do about them. The expert said that we have to get the earth analyzed again next summer to see if they've salted it again. Is there somekind of spell that could protect the garden. Or should I call upon some deity or even gaia herself to try to stop them from killing our garden?

Edenbolake's go away neighbor spell
witchbane and pepper mixed quite well
can send your neighbor a go away spell
on a night of the moon when she is in
her dark, strew this powder where
they walk or park.
and chant:
Go away , move away
you've not been nice
now hasten thy departure
as I cheer you with spice
be it done!
drink a cup of hot cinnamon tea to toast their moving.

maybe you could set up a video camera or something to try and catch them on tape salting your garden? Also, i would think regaurdless of the amount of rain, there would be ::some:: indication in the soil that they were salting your land, also there should be some indication in the plants themself. Maybe you could get some tests done on your grass, forage quality tests- like they do for farmers on their hayfields and whatnot, they might tell you if there are any compounds that shouldnt' be there in the plants (and hence the soil) as well as telling you what is missing in your plants (and therefore in the soil too).
Magickally what about invoking an earth spirit/elemental to protect the garden and your land? or faeries? Or simply setting up a protective shield around it...i'd at least sheild it to keep intruders our of it.

The amount of salt in the soil was a bit higher than usual but still considered normal. The expert we called said it was really weird that everything was dying but since he wasnt an expert at plants, but more like a consult who knew what to do in these kinds of situations, he didnt know what was causing it and therefore couldnt help us much. Getting plants and grass quality tested is expensive and we'r not rich (more on the dirt poor side) our neighbours though are rich...
I think I'll try to invoke the spirit of this land and maybe also a gnome or two =)

The trul;y nice thing about Bagpipe Music in a situation like this is, that at certain volume levels, it will come just shy of stopping your heart...LOL I've honestly used this against a former neighbor, he actually stopped playing his drums for a couple of days afterwards. We (all the neighbors for a solid block!) wound up taking him to court, the Judge fined him that day, and ordered the local police to fine him $300 EACH time they were called out!
Brightest Blessings,
