View Full Version : Tis the season the reason for these energies in our home?

I got this e-mail from my husband just now.
"I noticed the aura of our house is off. I felt mixed emotions this morning and I also thought I saw four different shadows in the corner of my eye. I think since it is getting closer to Halloween we are going to feel an emotional change in the house. This morning I felt lost and frustrated. In the middle of my work out I started to feel happy and then despair hit me. I want to say this is the reason why Loralie has been getting up early, so I think it is time for some sea salt around her room. "
I have felt both irritated and sad thismorning too. I have this feeling of pressure like stress in my chest too. I have no problem using witchcraft to rid them. I have tons of incense, oils, candles and salt around. Can I get some opinions?
thanks

I don't even think a season has to have a special energy or aura to affect a person in a certain way. I mean, studies have been done that show that people living in rainy, dreary cities like London are often more depressed and down than people living in more pleasant climates.
And 'tis means 'it is', not 'is it'. ;)

The energy of any space can, and does become stagnant, cluttered, and
“stuck” sometimes.
I’m a big believer that we all need to do regular (and you can’t do them too often can you?)”Space Cleansing” rituals.
Doesn’t matter whether you do traditional, contemporary, or have your own eclectic style of ritual for cleansing your space.
Heck …
Even burning the proper incense, or dressing and lighting a candle as you go about your routine house cleaning is a really good form of “Ritual Space Cleansing”
But if you don’t have a specific ritual you currently use …
You can find “on line” all sorts of simple (or complicated & intricate if that’s your personal style) ceremonies to clean (or transform ) .. the energy of your living and working spaces.
Regularly cleansing, re-balancing, and harmonizing the flow of energy in your surroundings is really Sooooo important!!
And YES
I believe that the seasons, and the particular energies and Spirits connected to them,
Can have a lot to do with the energy in your home being un-balanced.

My mentor in a metaphysical/energy/magic study group says he had a lot of entities or ghosts show up about two weeks ago. Tracing the energy back he thought it was linked to a disturbance in the earth. He thought it would be a local event, maybe even a small earthquake, but since Mount St. Helen's let off some steam the entities have gone away again.

Thanks so much for your reply, I try to do a house cleansing ritual every so often, maybe once a month but sometimes they get skipped. I need to stop slacking on them.LOL
Yes what I usually do is use sea salt that I use in my aquarium and mix it in filtered water and sprinkle it in all the inbetween places, corners and maybe around beds. I also take sage incense around to each room saying "this room is cleansed of all negativity, spirits, energies, thoughts etc" I light a white candle in the house too. I usually give the bad spirits a chance to leave first and if they don't then the salt and sage gets them. But I tell the good ones they can stay. My 19 month old loves to play with my bell so I let her follow behind me ringing it to scare spirits off. :)
I need to find the time today to do another cleansing, we are amazed at how the house can feel so different afterwards.
Thanks again for your input.
