Pagans in Prison

Alright, I have an assignment for longridge coming up.. and I was inspired to write about this.. It's a non-fiction piece, and I would like to make it at least marginally interesting to someone other than me.. So, I'm looking for imput from others in the community.

What is your take on this matter? (please no flaming, this is for information)
Is their a difference in your oppinion if someone was Pagan BEFORE going in verses becoming so on the inside..

Does it make a difference when it's someone who won't be coming back out of prison?

Just any random thoughts on this.. I'd really like to hear from someone who either was in that situation (if you wish it can be emailed), or was familiar with someone in the situation..

I believe I once posted on a thread about this which has long since been buried (I couldn't bring myself to read it again after I posted because this subject has become rather close to me and my feelings become too strong sometimes)

I am hoping to hear back from one of my friends who's in, so I'll have one source for sure.. but he's pretty knew.. I want to hear other peoples oppinions for clarity.

My son is in prison and he became a pagan after going in. He also has a few friends in prison who are also pagan. I know one was before he went in, I don't know about the others. If you would like to write my son, I'm sure he could help you with and also some of his friends. His address is:
