As a Dragon, I'm always curious to know the whereabouts of my fellow Dragons I am an Air Dragon (the big fire breathing flying type) in my early autumn phase. I know there are four basic types Earth, Fire, Water, and Air and would be interested in the varieties that inhabit our community. :)

hi Red Dragon and Moondragon!

i have been on the fringe of studying dragons for about 3 years now but haven't done much formal work with them. by formal i mean ritual. I invite them to my circle however and over the years a few of the visiting dragons have decided to stick around. whenever i am afraid, they draw near. they always have and recently i've begun asking their help in psychic protection from someone else who practices. i'm normally a quiet person but underneath it all i'm really fun-loving and sometimes i like to put on music and free-style dance, and the dragons dance with me! other times they like to tease me. like when i'm trying to go to sleep they'll "poke" at me and bug me just to be silly...and when i close my eyes i can see them running by or come out of a shadow and give me kind of a dragony grin. they've become good friends to me.

there's the more serious side to them too. they answer questions that i have and send me important messages. i walk and talk directly with them in my dreams. many a time they have protected me in my dreams too.
they have a teaching side and a playful side.

i have read the book "Dancing With Dragons". it has helped a lot in the long run but i was kind of curious to know if you could tell me what you think? i would like to learn more about working with dragons if you could help! :)

*Eternal Blessings!*

From what I have read I believe that there are actually five basic types of dragons. Four of which are from from the basic elements of Earth, Air, Fire, and Water. The fifth though being of the fifth element, that of Spirit, the element that binds all together. I have never equated myself with dragons until recently, but I have found that I am more Spirit than anything else.

Dragons have been recognised within various cultures and societies for millennia. They represent a vast intelligence - knowledge passed down through the ages, wisdom learnt from their long lives. They are strong and can command all five elements - Air for those which fly; Water for those which swim; Earth for the ground-dwelling Dragons; Fire in their magic and their breath, and Spirit in their powerful energies. Yet they are also a lesson in grace: how to balance all the elements within oneself and be powerful in the peace such a balance brings; be free in the flight of the Dragon.

Take on the Dragon's Spirit of freedom and control. Know that being both is possible - free yourself from within, and learn to balance the energies and elements. Do this and you will know the beauty of the Dragon - you will be able to roam the sky.

Well, I am a dragon mother, and not exactly a dragon per se. My daughter was born in 1988, year of the Dragon in the chinese scheme of things... But, I like tha name Dragonmother vrey much, and find it suits me more and more. To me dragons represent many stations in life, both good and bad. Dragons can be avaricious, selfish, destructive lazy, on the other hand, if they ive long enough they can be philanthropic, wise in the husbandry of the land around them and the memory-keepers of generations. A great Dragon asset is the strength that comes from personal integrity. You can't force a dragon to do anything, after all- you have to convince it that the thing should be done! Dragonmothers are longterm parents, as dragons take so long to mature and there is so much culture that must be taught them.
One thing that Dragons are missing is the physical dexterity to create objects. This is where I remember that I am not really a Dragon, because most of my wisdom lays in my hands.
Here's something cute; As I say I am the mother of a Dragon, not actually a Dragon myself. I was born in the year of the monkey. My 70-year-old mother just bought herself an imac (Graphite, nothing but the best for her) and went online. Her email name? Monkeymama!
