Okay, so I've just started to mark the moon phases on a calendar. Before I would tend to rely upon just pot luck, or what have you. So I'm wondering if you just mark down the full and new moons or whether it would be wise to mark down the first and last quarter moons as well?

Most calendars usually have those marked, I thought?
Anyway, the calendars that do, usually have the First, Half, Full, Second, and New moons all written down.

This takes way too much thinking and I'm rather lazy. So I usually get an almanac or a witches calendar. They usually have all astrological information I need and then some. Llewellyn makes some and so do these folks: http://www.witches.ws/

I use the program 'Lunabar' it puts the present phase icon on your task bar near the clock and although it is a shareware and only last for 30 entries to the program I find that with the task bar icon I only ever enter the program about once a month, hence it last for 30 months!
Here is the link if your interested:

It is very useful and has lots of info.

Programs are great, as are calendars that are already notated. When I get a calendar that's not already conveniently marked, I mark Full, New, and Quarters, as well as those days/hours/minutes that the Moon's Void of Course. 'Cuz nothing goes right for me when the Moon's between signs.
