I'm in the process of putting up a site about faeries. *Smile* I've always had a love of all things fae, and the site was the idea of my best friend's 12 yr old step-daughter. Right now, all it has is those girly little"adopted faeries" and whatnot that you can find on websites, but I'd like to include some information as well and I'm having a bit of a hard time. Most of what I see on the net are other sites like what mine looks like right now. Very pretty and all, but mostly useless :7
Any way, if anyone has any info or links that may be useful, I'd love that!*Smile*
And if you can stand pink and fluffy, I invite you all to stop by and say hello*Smile*

Thanks!

Just a note, and I know this is going to be taken as more harsh then it's meant. I would not give you sites about faeries anyway. There is very little about faeries online, and what is online has been gained through years of research. Thus, I don't agree with someone else taking advantage of this research just to put the same information on their own site. It's easy to say that you yourself are also only doing research, but having seen about a hundred too many sites built entirely on information scammed from others, I think it's time for people to do their own research and share their own knowledge.

Just my two cents.

well... i have to agree with willowraven on not just skimming information off of other websites...

but if you have specific questions you'd like answered, ask away. I study fae-lore. Heck, i have tribal tattos that mean "faerie" on my arms... heh.

your site is cute. so...pink.....so very pink.....

i'm specifically knowledgable about the Sidhe, especially the Leanan sidhe.

oo Leanan Sidhe. I was doing some research on her a few months ago, very fascinating topic. Interesting how she ties into Faerie Paganism, I think. What do your tats look like?

Lucidia: I 'd like to see pics of your tats, I may be doing work for some people who want my work done on them...And I'm curious, too. ;)

Thank you Willow Raven and Lucidia for taking the time to reply, and to visit my "so very pink" site.;)

I agree the plaguerism(not sure how that's spelled) is no good.

However, well, I'vebeen sitting here at the edit screen for about 5 minutes and not at all sure how to say what I want to(I get that a lot heh)
Well, I think I've maybe asked the wrong question, as I feel I'm being scolded for not knowing(I know that I wasn't being scolded, please don't misconstrue),so I have a different question.

I would like to learn more about the fae(lore, history, stories). I don't really have specific questions yet, I need to learn more. I would like to ask for some suggestions on how to learn more about this subject, because, it would seem to me that my methods of research leave something to be desired. So, maybe my qeustion should have been how to research such a subject, instead of asking for information about it. I really meant no offense by my post and I truly hope none was taken. I love this place and I don't want to alienate myself by, well, by anything.

Thanks again for taking the time out to reply to my post*Smile*

Yes plagarism is bad. The only solution is to cripple everyone's browser and not ever share any information with anyone ever again.

Seriously though, Willow Raven, why not send her the good links you have. I'm certain that sarhea won't steal anything, and that she will ask the appropriate webmasters (webmystrysesses) permission to use/reprint any content, with appropriate refrences. The internet was founded on free and open exchange of ideas. Just because some abuse this by becoming wholesale content theives shouldn't have to ruin it for the rest of us.
