I am a Kitchen Witch. Just figured that out in the last few weeks... I kept missing what the Goddess was calling me too! Oh well, now that I am home, I am happy.
Are there any other ones ou there? What makes what you do unique? How do you see Kitchen Witchery differing from other paths?

Since I am Osirian Wiccan, is it possible for me to be both that, and a Kitchen Witch...heard it's not?

I know a Kitchen Witch and I truly admire the way KW work their art using food, applying the correct ingridients to the correct moments.. I think its a great way to practice some magic with common tools.
Unfortunately the Kitchen Witches, in my opinion, are seen as "outsiders" or more like "something that doesn't make sense" and it is ridicularize by other pagans... well at least that what it happens here in Portugal.

I'm a kitchen witch in spirit, or heart, or something... If you could just see the image in my mind of a perfect house, and my bustling around, up to my elbows in flour or something. ;) One day.

I dont think KW's are different than any other pagan, they just use common things to improve thier magical art of making a harmonious home.

I haven't picked a particular path, but kitchen witchery is the most appealing to me.

I'd never given it much though until I took chryssi1's class, but I would say that Kitchen Witchcraft is a pretty good description of what I do. It's just so natural.

I'm here!!! I labeled myself a Heart Witch instead because my practice isn't just about the kitchen but the whole home. I haven't done any tradtional rituals, but for me it's more candle magic and anything to do with herbs, and other things I can "cook up" inside my home. My main altar is in my kitchen, but I do keep other tools and stuff hidden in my bedroom because I will soon have a munchkin up and about (he's almost 6 months now). I don't really consider it different, but maybe "tamer"? Is that a word?lol...but being a wife and mother, it works for me...call me fluffy if you must..lol

I guess I consider myself more of a Hedge Witch... witch is quite similar... but less specialized to the kitchen.

I am a Kitchen Witch and dang proud of it!! My life centers around my home and family and has since I was a child. I was always the one preparing "special" dinners and planning family events. For me being a kitchen witch just comes naturally. I don't have time for elaborate rituals and ceremonies so working my magic in the kitchen suits my lifestyle. Sure, I have my special spoon and knife I use when working spells, but I find using my cooking to work my spells as natural as breathing...

Here Here!
What we all need to do is a brew a cup of tea and take over the chat room sometime and discuss Kitchen Witchy stuff!

I do some magick in the kitchen from time to time does that make me a kitchen witch? Anyway, is there a class currently that I can take here or do I need to wait for a while before the next one starts?

Would someone be able to explain to me exactly what a kitchen witch does? I don't know how to cook, However I am guilty of using whatever I have around the house to 'cook' up spells, and I'm pretty laid back in my practices (i.e. I'm not ceremonial in any way). I do mostly candle spells, herb spells, love my tea (LOVE my tea lol) and desperately wish I had the time and skill to cook! (im 19 and a full time student..still live with my parents...you know how it is). I would'nt go as far as calling myself a kitchen witch, would you? Do you have to actually cook to be a kitchen witch? :awwman: what do you guys think?

Have I answered yet? I'm a kitchen witchie, too. ;) Or cottage witch, which sounds so peasanty to me... and I love peasantry. :D

Hmm... KissMeImIrish... KMIT for short... I think you could very well be a kitchen witch. I don't know exactly what defines it. All the things you mentioned fall under the kitchen witch/etc. category... and I don't cook much myself, as I also live at home and go to school. ;)

If it feels right, go for it.
