How best to learn?

I'm curious, always, about how everyone has a different view of things. On that note, I'm curious about how everyone learns about something new.
I don't mean life lessons, but just general knowledge.

My own way is to read. Everything I can get my hands on*Smile*
I am the encyclopedia junkie lol and the internet is my favorite way. Although there is A LOT of junk on the net, there is also a wealth of info*Smile*

I'm just curious about how everyone else chooses to learn and gain knowledge

Like you I read and surf the net, but I always believe in learning through experience.

Oh me too, generally speaking, but I mean, well, for example: I live in a community that, shall we say, isn't very "pagan friendly" lol. So when I chose this path(or closer to the truth-when this path chose me:)) I was fairly clueless. I had a guide for a while, but our paths differed very early on, so I knew what I felt, but had no idea how to...focus any of it, so I turned to the net, since the local library carries nothing about non christian religions. to get the basics and I still find myself turning to others(via wonderful places like this*Smile*) for guidance and questions*Smile*

I learn by reading and practice. I gain insights into things through the reading and real knowledge of the way and why they work through practice. I'm sure there's more too it but I'm tired and hot tonight.

Mostly reading everything I can on any subject that interests me...books & internet. Like you say, there are a lot of junk (both in books & on the 'net) to shift through. Another one of my favourite ways to learn is to ask lots & lots of questions. I love talking to people...from experts to beginners. I always feel that there is something to learn from everyone I meet.

Like many of you, I learned and studied by reading and practice... The internet is also a great tool, because it provides a community of like minded souls, to exchange information & support. So I am very grateful for sites like this one, and many others Blessings:)
