Okay I have no one to help me. I have a tumor that is being removed from my right breast on the 18th of this month. I have no spouce to be there for me and I have a son. I probably wont physcially be able to lift him cause of stitches and I don't know what to do? I am sooo scared. :wah:

Don't worry honey. The incision should be very small....isn't it same day surgery? If so, then it might just ache a bit, but other than that, you should be fine. Breast implants are much more invasive, and they don't bother women at all any more :hugz:

Oh, honey.
How big is it (wondering how bad the stitches will be)? How big is your boy? And is it malignant or benign?
Have you got friends or neighbors, parents, etc. that could help you out? Maybe send your boy on vacation for a couple of weeks?
We may not be much, but we're here and we're listening. *reaches for her hand*

She was just making a comparison - not suggesting you'll need them.
All the best to you.

I agree with what Faeawyn said - the incision should be small... and you should have relatively little discomfort. If it were more invasive, it wouldn't be an outpatient surgery.

I was giving you an example.....perhaps not a good one
I assume you've been tested and it's benign? My point was to reassure you that it won't be bad at all. Don't be afraid. You can work out a way to hold your son if you need to. You'll be just fine. :)

Blessings and energy for a quick recovery. It may ache a bit to pick him up in the begining...you can try to modify the way you lift...if need be....crouch down on floor hold him close then lift...try to move things so he can maybe climb up to you (like ottomans or cushions something like that)...ummm....trying to remember when mine were that little and how mobile they were...ask your surgeon about it and they may be able to give you more advice on how to manage. Best of luck.

I recently had a lump removed from my breast. It was a fibroadanoma(sp) I think. It was the second lump that i have had removed and both procedures were very simple. It was day surgery, I went in at eight and I was able to leave in the afternoon. If you feel like you want to have a chat about it, please feel free to pm me.
I hope everything goes well for you x :hugz:

Oh, Sweetie - I know that feeling of being so alone. I went through 3 surgeries as a single mom, my boys were pretty small with the first two.
Goddess will provide whatever help you need, either by making your pain minimal or sending people that can help. Sending energies for complete healiing.

You'll be fine. It's amazing what ideas you can come up with to get around not being able to lift and such with a little one. Stirring you into the cauldron.

*hugs for Lady Trinity* My mom had the same type of surgery when I was little, and I asked her about it just now...She said that surgery has changed so much since then that you should be fine. Suggestion would be to get low, and use your left arm and left hip to balance your little guy. It may be that you don't go out a lot for a day or two, to avoid having to lift him...do things on the floor that you used to do standing or lifting him. *Myst lights her candle and guides her thoughts to a quick recovery for you*
