Was there, or could there be, any classes for this? Just wondering!

I'm too lazy to be a teacher. Besides, I haven't learned enough to teach anything. To get my teaching I go to the House of Netjer's forums or else to Kemet Online.

I'd be interested in taking one, but I don't know enough to teach.

The only thing I can think of would be more like...a council almost, teaching instead of one person. Like, people volunteer to teach a certain bit..Nefertari could teach about Osiris/Wesir(assuming she wanted to, just thinking of examples), if needed I could do a bit on Aset and/or Nebt-Het, and Ses(again I dunno if you're even interested :p throwing out examples) could teach about Set...the traditional images, myths, what the deity means to the teacher, rituals or suggestions to contact that deity...and the other Kemets could add in their experience/thoughts if they wanted to. I dunno if that'd work though, or if that even made sense

I would have to agree with Nefer. With the House of Netjer’s beginners class being free and a great wealth of information that’s the best bet. Also those of you leery of them they give no pressure what so ever to join after the class.
I'd aways share what I know if the question is something I can answer.

Per Ankh also has a free new members class.
And Akhet Hwt-Hrw has classes that you must pay for.

You have to be 18 to join though, and I think it's the same with the Per Ankh classes. Or else I would have already signed up for them.

I see, then you will just have to put up with our ramblings on Netjer and how we interact with them.

The round-table discussion idea is a good one. In fact, I was under the impression that that's what this thread (http://www.mysticwicks.com/showthread.php?t=50338) was already doing. If you guys want anything more structured than that, then I think you're looking in the wrong place. I haven't met a single person here on MW that has learned enough to be a teacher of this kind of class and it would irritate me quite a bit if someone who lacked the proper qualification (a Master's Degree in Egyptology or its lifetime study equivalent) tried to teach it.
Read, read, read. That's the best way to learn. I put fourteen very good sources on the Links page. Those are a good place to start.

I would have to agree with most of that, although I can see where someone may want more. The Egyptian/Kemetic Wicca thread, for me anyway, seems like a place to talk about doing what would be your average Wicca but with Egyptian/Kemetic flavor. Like when I tried the Wicca thing with my wife I was doing traditional Wicca with her and her coven but substituting a Kemetic god and goddess as well as Kemetic symbols. I didn’t use a pentacle, I used a solar disk/scarab design I made and I had a slightly different cleansing technique using natron. I have since dropped all things Wicca. So that thread would be of little real value (other than I like reading what others are doing) to me others wanting to do something more like you (Nefer) and I.
