:acheeer: MM,
I started my BOS about a month ago, and so far I am totally displeased with it. 1st off, its not organized....(like me..lol) and I get no feeling when I read through it. SO I again have some questions...
I do not necessarily want a "Disk of Shadows" because I want to be able to access my BOS Wherever I want. Also, I do believe that work SHOULD go into a BOS as it is like your "paths' map". Ok, I was wondering what anyones thoughts are on just printing from a computer certain rituals, correspondance charts, all of that type of information and 3 hole punching it and adding it to a section in my BOS. I believe that I should handwrite personal thoughts, and even journeys...but as far as general reference information goes, would printing be acceptable..

Also, Does anyone know if there is a such thing as a "Dedication for your BOS"..I feel as if I need to make mine more "official" if you will..
As always, THANKS... :woot:

Blessed Be,
SilverWolf

There is a wonderful section here at MW which is dedicated to BOS. You can see what others have posted there and get some ideas from it maybe. It is stickied at the top of the Magic and Rituals section. There is a world of information there for You to view.:hugz: I hope this helps You

It's your book, so do whatever makes you happy. There's no right and wrong in all of this. It's about what works for you and not what other people think you should do.

I have been studying Wicca for two years, and just was initiated and out on my own in July of this year. Until now, I have kept a FDOS or floppy disk of shadows on my flash drive. a folder I put anything i felt i wanted to keep in there. I just recently, maybe a month now longed for a real BOS, and thank to Linx I have one, there is a big difference between the two. Maybe your not ready for a physical BOS yet, do whatever feels right to you.

All information pertaining to my Book of Shadows (err really its a Disk of Shadows) is located on my computer. I have it all organised. Whenever I get the time, I go thru it, add bits in, and print stuff out, and put it into the 3 rind binder I've decorated. Which becomes my Book of Shadows, and is almost always kept in my Bedroom, in a drawer, unless I need information from it for a ritual or what not.
I have more information in folders than I actually have in my Disk of Shadows, with only half of it printed out and placed in my Book of Shadows. Its a work in progress and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I have several BOS' actually

many are spiral bound notebooks, various subjects, seperated by notebook, a couple of three ring binders ... course work in one, my own collection of stuff in the other, and an online 'group' that I use as a BOS, as well as on CD or DVD.

I have a TOS (Tote of Shadows) for much of my stuff, much of the rest is organized in 3-ring binders. Note type stuff. I only work with the hard-bound books for organized entries or journals, and then keep it to one subject per book (tarot, runes, qabbalah, etc... anything interesting on the subject gets added there.) You can mix styles of BOS to make it work for you. I even know people with FCOS (Filing Cabinets of Shadows.)
