There's been a lot of interest recently in this belief system, so I thought I'd start a thread on it. Here I hope to share beliefs, history, and discussion about Stregheria and Gypsies. History, links, spells, talismans, beliefs, comments - feel free to share!

The Treguendas, akin to Wiccan Sabbats, celebrate the turning of the Wheel. There are four minor Treguendas falling on Equinoxes and Solstices, and four major Treguendas between each referred to as spiritual festivals.
Oct. 31 - Shadowfest is similar to the Wiccan Samhain, and marks the beginning of the year. It represents the descent of the Lady into the Underworld and her meeting with Dis. He is the Dark Lord, and she is angry with him for taking away everything she loves. He argues that time and fate takes these things from her, and tries to make her time there more pleasurable. Finally he wins her heart and they come together in Holy Union and share mysteries.
Dec. 21/22 - Winter Solstice or La Festa Dell'Inverno, akin to the Wiccan Yule, celebrates the birth of the Sun God, child of the Holy Union at Shadowfest. The Grigori come to see the boy, and are surprised to see Janus presenting the boy as his son - Dis and Janus are the two faces of the God. The Grigori bring Lupercus, the baby Sun God, to the world of man.
Feb 2 - Lupercus marks the puberty of Lupercus. The Grigori have set twelve labours before him that he might prove his worth as the new sun God. He completes these tasks, and assists us in releasing our own power.
Mar. 21/22 - Spring Equinox or Equinozo della Primavera, wherein the Goddess emerges from the Realm of Shadows. As she returns to the light of the Sun, the Earth awakens and her children rejoice. Fertility is celebrated here. As well, Lupercus is slain in a hunting accident, and is reborn as the new Sun God known as Janus. Cern, Janus' brother, takes rule of the Waxing year and will become the Horned God of summer.

May 1 - Tana's Day, or La Giornata di Tana, is similar to the Wiccan's Beltaine. It is the celebration of the Goddess' full return from the Realm of Shadows, her and the God mate and make merry and now she has become the dominant force.
Jun. 21/22 - Summer Solstice, also known as La Festa Dell'Estate, marks the marriage of the God and Goddess. This is the time of growth and bounty, and works to heal the Earth. Faeries and fata, elementals and deva are honoured.
Aug. 1 - Cornucopia or La Festa Di Cornucopia, is the celebration of the anticipation of the plenty at this first harvest. God is preparing to sacrifice himself that the world can continue, showing how rebirth and death are one.
Sep. 21/22 - Autum Equinox, aka Equinozo Di Autunno, is the time of the full harvest. Janus now dies and goes to the Underworld. Cern is killed in a hunting accident, and Lupercus regains control for the Waning Year. Goddess enters the Realm of Shadows in search of her love. The harvest is enjoyed and blessings are kept in preparation for the upcoming Winter.

Does everyone know who the grigori are?
For those who do not--they are our (stregheria's guardians)
Sorry Willow Raven but in case someone is just learning sometimes our words are confusing.

np. They can be thought of as fae folk or spirits or even somewhat like minor deities who are welcomed into the home and guard and guide Strega.
