The Gendron Tarot

My deck just arrived in the mail-- the box was smushed but thankfully the cards were fine and dandy :) -- and I was just wondering if anyone else had them/what their impressions were.

I think the artwork is really beautiful-- The Lovers and The Star especially-- but it looks like some of the faces are photographs instead of paintings, which kind of throws me off a little. I think it woulda been my new favorite had it not been for that fact. I'm not a fan of photo Tarots at ALL.

Anyone else?

Gendron is the deck that works the best for me. I've grown to love it dearly....it's starting to get a bit worn, actually.
Anyway, the photographs kinda threw me off at first as well, but then I kinda got used to them. I still don't like the picture cards as much as the other cards, but I have no touble reading them. In fact, I think it's easier to determine the meaning of the card because I can read the expression on a face easier than I can with some drawings.

I currently own the Gendron Tarot, but as of tomorrow it's being shipped to a friend in Hong Kong. Unlike me she is able to connect with that particular deck. I don't care for the images as too much of a cut & past kind of design for my tastes. The deck I'm planning on getting next is The Sacred Circle Tarot, I've heard so many wonderful things about it and it's images speak to me.

Well, I just picked up my Sacred Circle Tarot deck and its companion book and boy does it speak to me. The images are absolutely beautiful. I can't wait to play with them tonight.

Gendron Tarot, what a beutiful deck! :)
just looked at it at aeclectic... and wow, its so beutiful, can't say that I have ever seen it before, which surprices me, this is a deck I would notice :)
