How do you recieve your visions...
Through dreams or just anytime? When, where and how? Are they for real?
I recieve these "images" along with the sense of "feelings"... I don't get physical feelings, though... but these images confuse the hell out of me. Most of the time they are right if I ask, and yet most of the time I do not ask- if I do I'll have to make up a lame exuse.
I also get them through dreams. I had a dream of a friend having chest pains. Come to find out, he's been having heart problems... or the last time i had a dream where spirits guided me to a sight of someone dead... fell in the bathroom... "heart failure" they kept repeating... I awoke so distrought and full of fear. No one I know has this happened to. Hopefully it won't... That is why I confronted my friend and told him to get checked on.
Sometimes I won't get any visions... I would just instictively know.
If you are expeirencing this, too... please share.
Thank you all,
Blu

I get them whenever they need me to see something. my state of awake or sleep doesnt matter.
They are very real and not always what I want to know.
I learned, just because you know something will happen you are not always meant to change it, only meant to know. I learned that when I knew a friend would die and even though I tried, I could not change it. He died as I knew he would. It was a very hard time as I couldnt change it and couldnt understand why I would know something that is going to happen. I still dont understand it..but I accept that I was suppose to know no matter what.

When I was 13, I saw a mail box with a name on it- and instictively knew this man was going to die. When I mentioned it to my friend who was with me at the moment, She said "Hey! That's my uncle!" That i didn't know... but we left it at that and went on our way. A couple weeks later she found out he had gone to the hospital and diagnosed with efazema. He died a few months later. I still don't know "why" that had to strike me at that moment.
I don't understand why we may have these "sights" if we can not do anything about them.

Yup..and sometimes I go for periods..with nothing..nothing at all...and I feel empty without them. Like a part of me is gone. Like I am blind.

I've had a couple visions while I was awake. One full on flash of the future.
I also have them in dreams.
They don't come often, but its happened.

I went shopping at Value Village with one of my female friends and she bought me a circle of friends candle holder. Well we went to aboard the city bus and right as she was stepping up I thought.. Omg I should grab it cause its going to smash in 15 sec.. naturally I never believe my self and it broke :( The bag fell out of her hands and crashed onto the curb. i dont know why Im so indenyal about these "feelings or visions" I guess I dont believe it until it happens.. :holycow:

both. my dreams are very bright, but i often need to interpret them.
the 'waking' visions on the other hand, are clear images... which at times are pretty scary ( esp. when i read in the paper about it afterwards)

both, mostly in dreams though. the first one that i recognized as anything was of a murder suicide that happened around the corner from my house. *shutters* i still get freaked out when i think about it.

I get visions from sitting infront of a person and looking into their eyes, and I see things from a 3rd person view! :cap:

I don't get visions, at least nothing out of the ordinary realm of typical ESP I guess.
I did have a dream that I drove off a cliff and then the next day I actually drove off a cliff (on accident of course, lol). Spent a week in a hospital.
That's about as intense as it's ever gotten though.
I'm a tiny bit psychic though, yesterday my friend asked me to guess what she was listening to and I did without thinking about it...I can tell who is going to call me on the phone. I wouldn't call it an extraordinary gift, but I believe I could work on fine tuning it if I practice.
It sounds to me, Blu, like your visions are troublesome to you. Perhaps if you learn about them more you will see them as a blessing, and not as something frightening or annoying. Try not to focus on the "why" you get them, but on "how" you can use them.

They get troublesome because I don't know if these images are just in my mind... I don't know where they are from. Sometimes I'll get them for no reason, and some times they become apperent later. Sometimes I wonder...
I wonder if it is information that is being sent from the spirits from the other side, of things I will see soon, or other's have seen... I don't know.
Yeah, but "how" and "how accurate" is a very good question.

Yes I get visions! Not all the time, only when I am supposed to learn something and when the Goddess thinks I am ready.
Visions(sound, picture etc) usually come to me during dreams or meditation. But while I am awake I get feelings,or I should better describe it as energies.eg Many times when I am standing in front of a pregnat woman I just feel what the baby is gonna be.
It's interesting and it makes you feel gifted.

This happens to me too..I many times question the things I see during meditation,I find myself doubting if they are sent from "above" or I am just making them. But I ultimately know they are true because I believe in them.

I have "dejavu" alot. I don't know if I dream them or see them while awake. But alot of times I just get the feeling I've said something or seen something before. Recently my husband and I were driving to blackstone virginia (in the middle of nowhere..beautiful place!) from Norfolk and we we're crossing this bridge. I look to the left and saw a half torn down brick building and it just seemed familiar to me even though I've never been that way or on that bridge. Then my husband said something, and I remember the entire conversation as if we had it before. I could remember what he was going to say before he said it and what my responce would be. Its always kind of scary or freaky for me when that stuff happens. But alot of time I get dreams, most of the time they're little things such as my mom calling, when, and where I'm at when the phone rings; or a specific person I know I'll meet that I haven't met yet, or events. Nothing really big has came to me yet, I guess I don't know how to access that part of me enough.
How do you become better at receiving these psychic types of occurances? I've heard of a spiritualist church, will that help?

I've gotten a few visions...and they're usually from out of nowhere, any time of day. And it can be set off by anything. A sight, a smell, a touch, a thought even. And they're very real, almost like movies playing in my head, except I can feel and sense things like I was there, too. And most of the time it's about stuff I have no control over whatsoever.
My first vision was the night before Sept. 11, 2001 and I'm still not sure if I was asleep or not because it certainly felt like I was awake, but it was the middle of night. I was overwhelmed by this sense of panic and fear that I knew wasn't mine. Then pictures started flashing through my mind like they were on a high-speed projecter. I remember feeling lots of heat and it like I was being crushed under something and I couldn't move. Suddenly the feeling disappeared and everything went black. It was frightening to say the least, being the first time I had ever experienced something like that.
A few weeks later, I was going to bed and just barely touched the wooden frame of my bed and suddenly I was in my stepmother's basement. I was backed up against the wall, surrounded by flames, with this eerie metallic banging and unnatural shrieking in the background. I "woke up" in a cold sweat, pressed up against my door. Two weeks later, I found out there had been a fire in my stepmother's house that originated in the basement and killed the pet rabbit they kept caged down there.
And there are other, smaller things, like predicting phone calls from long-lost friends and reunions with people that knew me as a kid but I couldn't have remembered. With those, it'll hit like in the middle of the day, and suddenly this thought/memory pops into my head for no reason and won't go away. Or I'll hear something minute that i'd usually have ignored, and that'll spark it.

It depends on what you consider visions, for me. What is a vision?

I get this, too. I wouldn't even have to look into their eyes. It just happens.
Even if I just met someone... I feel like I grew up with them... like I really know them.

Just as an idea out of left field try this. Your in a car traveling down a street. You look out the windows and see things passing along both sides of you and in front of you and behind you. You can not choose what your going to see. You see things good and bad or just interesting everywhere you look. If you close your eyes and try not to see you still will becuase your not seeing with only your eyes your seeing with your mind and your spirit or soul. You can question why am I seeing this as you happen upon a scene of unpleasentness? But you see all the same. Seeing is part of what you are. Ask a blind man what he sees. If he says only darkiness he is lieing. If he says everything then he tells the truth. :seehearsp

hey mabye someone can help me with this vision !
I got it more than once now in a dream but each time i get it its kinda different,
iam sitting there with a freind and all of a sudden something we are talking about strikes my attention (In the dream i cant hear the words correctly it all sounds muffled and kinda like muttering) k so As the word triggers this moment where i am semi omnipotent much like in the matrix where neo sees the coding for the first time, everything shifts with this omnipotence people become black shillouettes with purple auras, the room is now different it takes on a very odd new feel and certain things are different,
the next one was completley different in setting and how it happened but here goes
i am sitting in a feild of white flowers, legs crossed meditating and taking in the beauty of a nearby apple orchard when i feel strange, again i gain this semi omnipotence (which is not really anything near what i can explain and using that term is probably as close in words as i can get to what this is like in a dream) when i levitate off the ground and start beaming this wonderfull pure white light from me soon everything is white and i wake up.
:atantrum:----- PLZ some one help

If you want to call them visions, then I would have to say that they come through dreams.
