View Full Version : What do you do about cards that pop out when shuffling?

I am not sure how to deal with them- I have read that you should consider them when doing a reading. And sometimes I do-if I get a feeling it is relative to the reading. But there are times I think I was just being careless and the cards just slipped. Is there a way to tell when you should consider them and other times to disregard them?

Did that make sense? For some reason, I feel like am typing through a fog.

Just trust your own intution! :)
I often come across the same problem,.. espeially when say ~ Im reading for a friend and cards have fallen out in the past and ive taken those into account... then they fall out again but I dont think they are important she/he does and doesnt undertsand why they were important last time but not this...
I dont think there a way to ever know if they are really improatnt or not.. just trust your little vioce and what the card is saying to you. If they are shouting out when you pick them up from falling they are important!! If they arent ..maybe they arent important to the reading.

I agree, trust your intuition, you'll know if they are important for the reading... and you'll know if they aren't ... :)

However, I often feel very confused when it happens at first, but if I just relax, I know what to do. :)

Ahh, good ol' intuition! Makes sense to me. I was getting confused because sometimes I would feel that pull- "This card means something" and other times I felt nothing.

Thanks!

I would just make a note of what card/s fell out, and return them to the deck. See if they come up in the reading,....or if cards with similar meanings appear. They could also be a bit of advice that doesn't necessarily pertain to the question asked of the reading....I feel that these cards are what you need to know, not what you want to know. I know that before I got into tarot reading, I would go to readers....and asked about things I felt were important at the time....but one can become almost obsessive in looking for answers to a specific problem, that other things happening in their lives just slip past as unimportant...when in reality you may be allowing things to happen/not happen as they should. So the tarot may be trying to draw your attention back to them. Do you understand?

That is just how I see the cards that pop out. :D

I often go with intuition. If I know I'm being a little careless, I'll look at it and put it back, if it comes up in the reading later you know it had a message for you. Other times if they just pop out without you being too careless, or sometimes even if you are (comes back to intuition) I put it aside and see if it's relevent to the reading later on.
