I have just encountered a very beautiful prayer that I thought that I would share it:

Deep peace of the quiet earth to you,
Deep peace of the shining stars to you,
Deep peace of the shades of night to you,
Moon and stars always giving light to you.

Beautiful. It's a spin off an old Celtic Blessing.

....in high school chorus :) Everyone got really annoyed we had to learn to sing Gaelic (we sang it in both Gaelic and English) but I enjoyed in thoroughly. Thank you for slamming me with a good memory today! (Good old Mr. Tibbets, my second fav chorus teacher :))

I no longer have a copy of the original. If I do, I can't find it right off ... A friend gave it to me ~ copied out of an old Baptist hymnal! :D ... Here is the ritual I made out of it. If I remember correctly, the only thing I added were the "Perfect love and perfect peace" lines at the end ~ but seems that the original had/has something similar in it, as well. I'll look for it
