The thread on night attacks reminded me. Did anyone else on here have night terrors as a kid? I am not referring to nightmares. That's a totally different thing. And do you remember them? Do you ever wonder if maybe they were linked to the paranormal? If you don't know what I'm talking about, just ask and I'll explain the best I can.

Yea, just the one. As much as one can remember anything from when they were three. I think it was a night terror anyways. It was part dream, but it continued when I was awake. It was like I was being attacked. If it wasn't a night terror I don't know what it was.

Well night terrors don't involve dreams that I know of, but its possible maybe that you had one after the dream or something.

I've been told that I had night terrors when I was 2. Been told that my eyes were wide open and I was staring at the ceiling screaming "Don't let them get me." It went on for a few minutes. Then I went back to sleep.

Recently I've been in touch with the things that terrorized me when i was 2. Turns out they were guardians. Very very old and very very scary looking, but guardians. Not saying that's the case for everybody, but that's how mine worked out.

Well, I remember the dream and then being attacked so I really have no idea.

I don't know if I yelled any coherent words. But what I saw was definitely scary. I just remember waking up terrified cause there were things in the dark and I knew they were waiting to get me. I had a lot of night terrors when I was a kid. I've always had an overactive imagination though. But what of those things were real? :hrmm:

I was five so I guess that's why I remember as much as I do. I think I shouldn't have watched that movie "They" lol. It put scary thoughts into my head.

I definitely remember the things in the dark. Couldn't describe them, but I remember them.

Yes, I've had two that come to mind. Once when I was 20ish, amybe a bit younger, when I woke up drenched with sweat and having thrashed my bed much more than usual. But I awoke calm, and just perplexed. The second was about a year and a half to two years ago. I awoke I belive with a scream. My heart was pounding and my breath panting like I'd been running. I could bearly catch my breath I was breathing so hard. I remembered absolutly nothing, but I was terrified, petrified, and I still think that whatever the dream was my mind blocked it out, possibly do to the terror factor.

It wasn't a regular nightmare, me and the Nightmare are old friends. Friends?

I remember mine vividly, I have suffered Night terrors and Night attacks. I see them as connected and definitely paranormal. I'm almost grateful for them as there isn't much that scares me anymore as nothing can compare with the fear of inevitable doom. Lying there in a state of semi consciousness and feeling as if you live at the whim of something else, and lacking the strength or will to respond. I suppose it is how it would feel if you were paralyzed and able to see a wild animal stalking closer to make a meal out of you. Scary stuff!

I don't know if this means anything to any of you, but I thought I'd share this link: http://www.castleofspirits.com/sleep.html . It has put a great many people I know at ease about problems during the night. :)

I don't think I ever had any until the other night. I'm not sure what it was but when I started talking to some people they said that that's what they probably were. I'm not sure all I know is that it was freaky!!!
