Ritual or casting gaffes

Okay, so you're in the midst of a solumn ritual (or maybe not so solumn) or you're getting right to the good part of casting and suddenly... Murphy's Law takes over. Funny? Awful? Tell me what happened and can you laugh about it now? (I have one, but I'm saving it for later.)

Most of my stories have to do with parts being set on fire. Sometimes hair. Sometimes naughty bits. Visits by the Fire Department. That sort of thing. :D

Heh, well I've certainly set a few of my notes on fire. But here's a point at which the fertility gods may have been having a bit of fun at my expense:

I was doing a Beltane rite with a couple of other solitary friends and we were about 3/4 of the way through it when I suddenly started my ..uh.. cycle, a full week early. (sorry if this grosses out the guys)
