First off it's not a bad idea considering a lot of ppl are allergic, but I don't really like the fact that they're genetically engineered. I'm slightly allergic to cats, but that doesn't mean I'm going to shave them or something. I take medicine for allergies and keep them outside for most of the day. (Plus my dad doesn't like animals in the house

What's your all's opinions?

True, but for some people (like me), allergy medicine doesn't cure that allergy to cats.
Last year at Christmas, upon opening my older sister's presents to me, I broke out in hives - a major rash (eczema), huge whelps all over my arms, legs, face, everything. This was just from opening presents that came from her house, which has maybe 2 cats. That was disaster.
I now take 2 maybe 3 prescriptions for allergies, and I still get the hives, even if not as bad. Hypo-allergenic cats might be a good idea; I don't see it as doing any damage, myself.
Just my two cents, though.
