Just would like your opinion on this video clip (http://www.tinyplace.net/almas/ghostgirl.htm)
Myself...it's a little creepy. You don't expect to see her really, but the eyeshine caught my attention. So just opening it up for opinions, not a poll.

Honestly i think it's a hoax.
There is a relection in the girl's eyes and she is too well defined. If they would have caught a real ghost there is a low posibility it would have a solid corporial form on the play back. If they filmed and actually caught a ghost on film it may have been alot hazier in the area of the subject (the girl). It's an easy hoax seeing there is no other information on the website supporting it to be true. Plus the mainsite is a multimedia company. This is just my opinion, though.

Looks pretty creepy, but I think Crow is right.
Her eyes give off a reflection like a "live"human would. I would say it's hoax.

The "eye shine" caught my attention, too. Either way I think the video itself is a good conversation starter. I've seen a pic of a boy "ghost" in the Amityville house that has "eye shine" similar to this, but who's to say that pic was real, either.

Hi there. My name is Dave and I maintain the web site, Truly Haunted, for my sister. I don't really blame you for thinking the video clip is a hoax, but believe me, it isn't. Many many people have reported seeing spirits that look every bit as alive as you or I. People have even been known to walk up to "people" to start a conversation, only to see the person disappear before their eyes.
A ghost (or spirit or whatever name you choose) can appear as solid as any other solid object. Not all spirits appear as they do in the movies - wispy shadows or transparent misty figures gliding across dark dungeons at midnight.
I see no reason why a spirit could not reflect light, cast a shadow, or appear as solid as any other object. It all depends on how strong the manifestation is. Some of them appear as mists, some as orbs of light, some as shadows, and some appear as full-fledged apparitions. No one knows why some appear one way and some appear another way, but I suspect it has something to do with how much spiritual energy they can pull together. Some spirits manifest strongly and some are barely there.
We don't make a lot of claims on the web site because we want people to decide for themselves what these things are. We have no idea. You have decided they are hoaxes and that's fine if that's what you believe. All we know is, concerning this "ghost girl video", my sister and her friend were in the room that night and this is what they recorded. As far as we know, it could be the Easter Bunny.
Of course it would be an easy hoax to pull off, just as any other "ghost photo" or video. Hard evidence is difficult to obtain and no matter what evidence you present, there are always going to be skeptics. In this age of Photoshop and video editing software, anything can be faked and unless you were there, it's extremely difficult to believe some of this stuff. Again, that's fine. I'm a skeptic too. We have spent a lot of time investigating strange happenings at my sister's house and we know is that SOMETHING unknown is there.
Actually, the "ghost girl" video was recorded at my sister's old apartment and not at the house where she now lives. She seems to be a ghost magnet though, so things appear to be attracted to her for whatever reason.
The main web site is not a multimedia company. It is just my own private music label site that I use for presenting my music. It really has nothing to do with the Truly Haunted web site (the site featuring the video you mention). As I said, I only maintain the web site for my sister and help her with investigations.
Anyway, thanks for visiting!

Hello, Dave.
I saw this video on your sister's old site and the picture has stayed with me all this time.
When Mol started the Paranormal forum for us I just knew I wanted to bring it up again (yes, I had referred to it in a post almost 2 years ago on this board) I posted the link for pretty much the same reason you posted the video. To let others view it and then make up their own minds and then discuss it. I'm interested in what they have to say though I have my own opinion, too. I have a couple of unexplainable photos myself and some paranormal incidents that are hard to explain. Thank you for dropping in and hope you stay awhile. You'd be a valued participant in this forum. :)

Dave,
I have no idea if you really are the webmaster for the site or not. I mean it's not hard to back track the link and create a persona based on the information that is available from it. That aside, I will treat you as the real deal. Only the masters of this site can back track your ISP to see if you are legit or not. But I'm not trying to start an argument over your authenticity.
I am a ghost hunter, I have been for several years now. I've taken classes over paranormal investigations. I've seen footage such as the one presented on the site and though it looks outstanding, I have to have skepticism to it. The reasons are many but just to name a few: I do not have the correct audio/video equipment to view it frame by frame and deeply analyze it. Nor was I there first hand (though my claims would probably be the same as yours if I was there).
My advise, contact IGHS (International Ghost Hunters Society) to help you prove that is true footage. I do not doubt that you have the ability to start a conversation with a "person" only to have them disappear before your eyes. I say that because hey, if ghosts can be caught on film and be as corporeal as this one, who says they cannot do it infront of your eyes. It's never happend to me, but then again maybe I'm not interesting enough :)
The only reason I'm being skeptical about your claims is just like I've said. I wasn't there. So in other words, if I didn't take the photos or footage myself, I have to validate it as a hoax. UNLESS it can be proved. Nothing personal friend, just how I am.
Good luck on getting some info about your finds and keep us posted.

I have not actually seen a ghost myself, but I have heard and seen enough at my sister's house to know it is indeed haunted. My sister and brother in-law have seen many weird things there, including full apparitions, but I haven't. You almost have to live there full time before you could expect to see one. My sister is sensitive and has seen ghosts all her life. It seems like different people are sensitive in different ways. My sister says the "ghost girl" video is true footage and her word is good enough for me.
We have been investigating the house for a few years now and we use the equipment listed on the web site. Motion detectors and video monitors seem to be the most useful, but other visitors to the house have experienced things - heard disembodied voices, seen bright orbs of light with their bare eyes, seen apparitions on the video monitors (they have cameras downstairs to monitor the most active part of the house down there) and people have even had something blow air into their ear very forcefully.
As far as my identity goes, I'm using my own real name here. My own e-mail address. You can check the Truly Haunted web site or my own site at http://tinyplace.net/dave/ to get more info. I own the domain tinyplace.net, and you could even look it up by doing a whois on the Internet. When the info pops up, you'll see my name and e-mail address.
No need to be so paranoid or think people are makiing up fake personas just to hype someone else's web site. For that matter, who is "Wounded Crow"? What kind of fake persona is THAT? I'm just an ordinary guy and I have nothing to gain by supporting the Truly Haunted web site. I'm just helping my sister. It's only a web site she uses to share her experiences with others. We don't sell things or make any money from the site but it's something we do because we are interested in ghost hunting and with sharing information with other like-minded people.
My sister keeps a journal on her site so we try to keep that up to date in order to let people know what's going on.
Take care.
Dave

Hi, and thanks for the welcome! I'll be back. I am interested in all types of paranormal activity and it's always good to have other people to share ideas with.
