how is it when someone who asks for help...and there are a BUNCH of qualified people who can...don't?? less than a handfull of people :atantrum: out of more than a room full.

Alot of people are selfish rather than selfless ... Even if they have the qualifications they typically ask themselves "Why should I? What's in it for me?" .

On the other hand some people are inactive because of possible reprecussions from acting...

I try to help people whenever I can, but sometimes I feel like I need help myself. Then I feel like I shouldn't try to help other people until I work out my own stuff. I think that when I feel bad I'll just bring others down with me, and if you're already down, I shouldn't talk to you. I can't speak for others, but maybe its similar for them.

Also, for some reason, some people just don't want to get involved in other peoples' issues even if they can help. Sometimes when you try to help someone it ends up being a very bad experience for the person trying to help. I've done work in Psychology and I've seen the person being helped turn on the person helping them. I've seen verbal and sometimes physical abuse, sometimes it becomes a stalker situation. So some people that can help are reluctant to do so because it's gone bad in the past.

If you need help with something, let it be known here and someone WILL help you.
