Ususally when I make my candles, I have pre-colored wax. Now I want to just buy white wax and use a couple of crayons to color it. Does anyone know if this works?
Hi Scarlet!
There are some here who have used crayons to color wax with satisfied results. I'll have to search around a bit, but there are some websites that will mail out free samples of candle wax dye. I'll check and get back to you if you'd like!

Happy Candlemaking! It's definately that time of year!

I did some not too long ago with crayons. My black couldn't get away from a charcoal gray!!! I've found greater success with lighter colors when doing crayons.

If you're making them just for your own personal use, crayons are fine. If making them for sale, it's not a good idea. Color blocks for coloring wax are relatively inexpensive and a much safer, better quality way to go than crayons.

It definiately works. And the nifty crayons with glitter are very cool :)
