How come you've been given that type of due date? I was always given one date (both were wrong mind you) my daughter was due 25th June, she was born 6th July. My son was due 3rd July, he was born 16th July!

Well... the actual due date is Jan 12, but I've had some problems so the doctor is talking about a possible induction at 37 or 38 weeks (unless the problems clear up by then). Also my baby is a bit bigger than normal and I am a kind of small person, and I hear little people with big babies hardly ever carry to the due date.
Don't know... its my first... we'll just have to see! :floating:

Welllllll...... even though my first was kinda small (7lb 2oz) my second was HUGE for me! I am 4ft11 and about 119lb pre pregnancy weight, i carried 12 days overdue with my 2nd and he was 8lb 11.5oz!
But sounds like thats not your only problem, i hope all goes well for you :)

Hmm, my Mum is only 5'2" and was only ever 8 and half stone (about 120lb) at her natural weight. My brother - her fourth child - was 11lb at birth and she carried him 2 weeks over (unlike 5 over with me). I think it differs from person to person

i have hear smaller boned women have more room in their pelvises becasue their bones arent as thick, therefore taking up more room. a doula friend attended a home birth where the mother was 4'11" and the baby was over 11 lbs. amazing!

Congrats! That's so wonderful :)
I find it weird that for breech babies they'll do a c-section. My older brother was a breech baby... over 8 pounds too and she didn't even have an epidural! AND she was 18! Okay I'll stop
(ETA: I was near 11 pounds when I was born  )
I guess everyone's bodies are vastly different though. :)
I hope the little one's doing fine! :) :steppy:
