My daughter starts kindergarten Thursday! She can't wait but I sure can! She's my only child...where did the time go??? This is such a crazy feeling, I'm so excited for her yet I'm a complete emotional wreck! I'm up/down...it's like PMS 24/7!!!

My oldest will be 12 just before Samhain. I know how you feel.

Hugs to you, Amora! You're not alone. I think there's a few new kindergarten moms here. It's not so bad...at least in kindergarten, you can still go in & be a parent helper.

My daughter starts kindegarten on Sept.10. If she weren't already in full time day care I would feel just like you. It does get sad. It's weird sometimes I look at her and think, wow you are so tall. You are getting older. Then it's sad all over again!

I have a friend who is divorced. He wrote that his son started his first day of first grade and he missed it.:( I think it's nice when a guy would actually think that was an important moment.
Hang in there.

Actually my daughter has been in full time daycare as well but for some reason this is all seeming so "grown up" to me. I'm realizing she's not my "baby" anymore...And unfortunately I won't be able to be a parent helper because I will be at work all day! UGH!! Boo Hoo...

Though I have no child of my own, mine should be coming any day now :), I helped to raise my little sister and watching her grow up has brought incredible joy and sadness. On Tuesday she begins her last year of elementary school. There are times when I want to find a way to keep her at home and forever preserve her innocence and childhood, yet I know that I cannot. You have my blessings Amora and I wish you luck!

Boy, do I know how you feel! Scott is going to kdg on Wednesday and I am not sure I like it at all .:T :D He has been really nervous and clingy lately. Just having a real tough time separating from me. I know he will be fine once he gets there, it is the "getting there" that will be the problem, because he is so sensitive. He has a bloodstone and I think I am going to have him bring it in his pocket. When he gets nervous, he can hold it and get some strength and courage. He also has an imaginary dragon that watches over him. He told me last night, the dragon's fire can chase away any of his fears. Thank Goddess for all of you~ my non-Pagan friends would think we were all insane! LOL!

Anyway, I can relate to the ups and downs. I can't wait for him to start so I can be over it! And Thursday my baby girl starts preschool, one day a week. She will be three on the 21st. Where did the time go??
