The first item to verify is to see if the work had been done correctly. A simple check is all that is necessary to do this. Since our Secondary chart time is set for l8:43:11 UT. In this case the chart is intended for Arizona which is on Mountain Standard Time, 7 hours later to Greenwich time. 18:43:11 - 7hours = 11:43:11, which is near Noon. Therefore, we should find the progressed Sun near the midheaven of the chart, (which in this case, it is verified) . This simple check is useful to catch any errors in math before proceding any further. That the Solar position within the chart should correspond to the sun's actual position in the sky during the day. Therefore, say, 3 PM, should find the Sun between the MC and Descendant. At midnight the Sun shoud be in the vicinit of the IC, and of course at dawn, the Sun should be near the Ascendant and etc.
It is suggested that when constructing the chart that two different colors are used to mark in the elements, to differentiate between the progressed, and the transiting planets and luminaries.
After the chart has been drawn up, the next thing to do is to look to the Ascending sign and to locate its ruler. Rulerships are thus listed:
Libra..............Venus
Scorpio..........Mars
Sagittarius.....Jupiter
Capricorn.......Saturn
Aquarius........Uranus
Pisces............Neptune/ Jupiter
Aries..............Pluto/Mars
Taurus...........Venus
Gemini...........Mercury
Cancer...........Moon
Leo................Sun
Virgo..............Mercury
Our progressed chart has (7* 24') Aquarius ascending, therefore, the ruler is (progressed) Uranus. Next, locate this Uranus, its house, and aspects. Uranus is part of a stellum of planets located at the Midheaven of the chart, along with the progressed Sun, Mercury, and Jupiter. Note also, that this stellum is squared Mars at 26* 48; Aquarius. Mars occupies a point of the Zodiac that is known as the "east point" (and its opposite the "west point"). These Zodiacal points are always squared to the degree of the MC/IC axis. Allow about 2 degees orb to determine if any influences are present. In this case, Mars should be considered as part of the stellum. Also, note that Venus is (weakly placed) semi=sextile to the stellum at 22* 39' Sagittarius. The secondary progressed Moon is near sextile the stellum at 29* 33' 11" Virgo. Next, check for any transits to the ruler of the chart. In this case there are in proximity, 2, Saturn near the IC, and Pluto near the MC. These two are however, at least 9 to 10 degrees ahead of the MC , and therefore, have transited the MC/IC axis about 9 to 10 days earlier. That their influence is almost nil considering their difference in separation. What ever house the ruler of the Ascendant occupies, this will be the theme of the chart. In this case the MC is indicative of fame, and what one is noted for in life's professional efforts, and striving- intentional accomplishments.
Next, look for any progressions to the Ascendant, In this case there is one, namely Saturn at 7*20' Taurus Rx which is squared to the Ascending degree. This point is called the (lower Nonagesimal, and its opposite the upper Nonagesimal) In Secondary analysis these are extremely important positions to consider. Also that Saturn nearly draws a partile trine to Pluto at 7*33' Virgo.
Next look for any transits that occupy the Ascendant or its Nonagesimals. In this case we have the Moon, at 4* 58' 04" Aquarius. Due to the rapid motion of the Moon, it should only be considered in any progressed chart that is set for a specific time, especially when research is being conducted. It takes about 2 hours for the Moon to transit one degree of the Zodiac, or about 1/2 of its disc-arc as seen in the sky.
Next, check for any transits that draw aspects to the progressed elements. Allow about 6 degees in approaching (appulse) a progressed element and about 1 degee when separating from such. In this case we have a Mercury-Jupiter square that is aspecting progressed Saturn. Also that Transiting Uranus is sextile to the stellum on the progressed midheaven.
Even though there are many inter-elemental aspects in this particular example, I will try to delineate each one. All that is necessary then, is to add the influences together to complete the delineation.
