the Witches from Wales ( actually live in WALES ) that stop by are a bit scathing in their cynicism , but they arent as bad as they used to be LOL.....
the anthropologists are quite knowledgeable
and the atheists come in for a breather from fighting with the Muslims and Fundamentalists ....... and sometimes we just play music and have fun or shoot the already tattered breeze .....Thoreau stops by from time to time its a regular reunion sometimes ....... you know kind of we knew you WHEN so dont try that expert advice stuff on me I remember you from when you were a NEWBIE three years AGO LOL, and didnt know magic from a hole in the ground.

Well, I'm getting a message that the Paltalk server is busy at the moment, try again later. Same crap I get from my isp most of the time.
Kinda reminds me of Firetalk. Paid them $25 and three weeks later they bellied up.
They promised to give me some of my money back but of course.........
I paid them because I use their stuff and figure it's only right to help pay for what I use. That and I HATE commercials.
Swannie, Why use Wren's trademark (or is it Fritz's?), come up with something uniquely you.

I want to keep the Witches Chat,that is mine .... and I was going to ask her if she or Fritz wanted to stop by from time to time , or use the more advanced technology , although they could certainly use it themselves but they have MAC and paltalk doesnt support MAC except with a plug in of some kind . I post at a private message board where she posts from time to time :>

I have plenty of atheists friends and not one of them are ANGRY. Maybe the folks that frequent the "chat" rooms, but that is not something to use as a "general" rule of thumb.

because I wouldnt make a statement like that without a clarifier..... and that has nothing to do with chat rooms at all .... that is like blaming the computer or the internet for the way people behave .......people are people whether they post to message boards, chat in rooms or talk to you at the bus stop..... the only difference is the level of anonymity ....
I dont know that many atheists........ and the worst one of all on Paltalk ....at least the one with the worst reputation.... and he LOVES IT LOL stops by my room from time to time and we get along fine.... which is why I LOVE to actually talk to people, the communication is much less open to misinterpretation , clarification is quick and easy , and voice inflection is not as easily misunderstood :>

The only difference may be the level of anonymity, but this higher level encourages some people to become "mouthier" and/or ruder online then they would be in real life. OMG!!! What a crock of sh**!!! I downloaded the silly thing and set it up and tried to listen in on a chat and it wouldn't play. I went into the help room. What a joke!!! Automatic canned responses that I had to wait an hour for. Personally, it is not worth the trouble. In one Wiccan room I typed and asked for a little assistance and was told to reboot. I made a joke...asked if they worked for Microsoft...with smilies and everything and they told me I was rude and started flaming me. HHHMMMM...sure am glad the darn thing didn't work...I would have hated to "hear" that crap!

So while this may be great for some...I will not be participating!

first time I downloaded it worked like a charm..... met some old friends (witches) from Wales I hadnt spoken to in years...... and have been going along famously since .....
Sometimes you do have to reboot tho I dont know why ........... has something to do with the sound quality ......
I want to use it for the video thing too so I can have more contact with my granddaughter ........

As for Paltalk troubles the Semele had. I had been on for some time and suddenly couldn't log on. I tried everything possible and ran around and around their web pages seeking help. All I ever received was the same damned canned responses, regardless of the tech message I left.
I finally emailed my stepson and asked him to ask the help chatroom for advise. They were about as dumb as doorposts!
I finally uninstalled it and then downloaded all over again, problem solved. I expected better service when I had paid them premium prices!
Oh well, it works now. I even logged on this morning!
But Swanspirit, I tried finding you and they listed to "SwanSpirits" with no other info. Try adding me and sending an IM to "SeekerSandy."
