There is a Vietnamese family that runs a manicure shop two doors down from my apartment. I see them on the street once and a while. We exchange greetings, but we never chat, as their grasp of english isn't very good and my grasp of veitnamese is non-exisatant.
The woman is about 4'11'' and weighs perhaps 90 lbs. she usually comes in to open the shop in the morning with her two small kids in tow. The only thing i can say is that i'm thankful she didn't bring them last thursday.
She showed up around 9:30. When she unlocked the back door to te shop she was pushed inside by a large man. He demanded that she open the safe. The safe in question is about 60 years old. No one has a key to it. Theres nothing in it. She told him this. He responded by beating her into a coma and raping her. He escaped with out being noticed.
I was at work. i had no idea this had happened until just now when my landlady told me.
Please pray for her and her family.

Thats so horrible. I will pray for her and her family. At least this evil man will get his is pretty much all I can say here without getting kicked off with all the expletives Id like to use.

Arg Im so angry I cant even write what I want to. I hope she recovers physically soon and as for emotionally/mentally - she will need a lot of support. I feel so much for that family :(

Please let us know what happens.

Blessed be to that woman and her family. As a rape survivor I know the degradation that goes along with having a peice of yourself stolen.

I pray for her recovery, and peace and understanding to blanket her husband and children in the days and years ahead.

Your neighbor and her family are in my thoughts for sure. I pray that she fully recovers, both physical and mentally. I pray that the poor excuse for a man gets his. What a horrible event, :(.
