I'm on Verizon as well. :D You can either use Verizon's service (http://www.vzwpix.com/mlib/index.jsp) or you can email them to yourself on your computer so you can save them to your hard drive and then upload them.

doesnt it cost extra for the web service to email them to myself? or for that matter to use verizons site?

it will only work though if you have the pic messenging service on your phone though and it is an extra charge.

Yeah, it's something like $0.25 for each picture message you send.

Why can't they just put USB connections on the phones already? Is that too much to ask? :bastard: It would save me a lot of work rebuilding my address book when/if I get another phone.

totally agree phoenix blue. I was surprised that mine didnt have one! I thought thats how camera phones worked!
So just for clarification: I do have the picture messaging for two months as a starting offer, so can I send as many as I want for free to upload?

There is, just go down to your local Radio Shack and make sure you have the make and model # of your phone. Then look for for Future Dial SnapSync and SnapDialer software and usb cables that match your phone. I bought it for my Sanyo 8100 and it is BRILLIANT! I can make my own ringtones, it converts the PNG format that the pics are in on your phone to a more manageable JPG format, you can make your own ringers, you can save your address book and a lot of other options onto the hard drive, and essentially back up the info on your cpu! Now mind you the software is specifically designed for each and every type of phone and the back of the packaging tells you which phones will work with which software. The software retail for about 20 to 30 dollars. Some Radio Shacks will give the usb cable out for free with the software purchase. Any other questions, just ask. :D

Cool, Dru! I haven't been in Radio Shack in forever, so I didn't know they had that!

PB, when I got my new phone, Verizon switched my address book and all over to my new one in about 10 seconds in their store.

You would be amazed what you can do with these phones nowadays...
most Sprint phones have it where if you type in DATA# or RUN# into the keypad you can access new menus and upgrade features, BUT I must stress that it voids the warranty and can SERIOUSLY mess up your phone, unless you know how to reset it to factory settings.
One guy on one of the Sega Dreamcast forums got his 8100 to work as a VMU for his Dreamcast Console. ( he got it to work as a memory card for his games )
