novena

I have just joined MysticWicks this evening, after another member posted the URL in one of the NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) forums. I am so glad that I found my way here!
I am thirty-five years old (have to get used to that; today is my birthday) and am newly relocated to Oregon from the East Coast. I am single, living with two cats and two dogs. I am a self-employed/work-at-home type, serving as a writer, teacher, healer, and interfaith minister.
My user name -- novena -- is derived not from a Catholic background (I was raised in a rather loose Episcopalian household) but from the Latin word for the number 9. 9 figures prominently for me and is both my life and soul number.
I have followed a very open path pretty much my entire life, though have only recently been applying the term "pagan" to myself. I am also getting used to the idea that I've pretty much always been a witch. Still, I find that I don't fit into any ready-made categories -- does anyone? Or perhaps I just have a commitment problem. ;)
So you may see me post on these boards from time to time, though I imagine I'll likely be lurking for awhile. Thanks for being here, and for being such an active and diverse group.
