I was reading in one of my books where it said before you do a spell, you should know the correspondences, like the moon phases and days of the week, colors, etc. I have all this information down in my BOS but I don't want to keep referring to it. I want to be able to remember it. Is there any way I can remember the correspondences easier, especially the moon phases?

I'd suggest reading over and over if you want to memorize.. lol
But there is a reason why things have the corresponcinces.
Full moon is big... good time to make things grow, or get bigger or come to you.
New Moon is small... send things away or make them decrease.
I like writing my own correspondences. Meditate on ... whatever... to get an impression of what it means to you. eg.. the color blue to me means healing, comforting, as well as protection (police wear blue and are to protect and serve). Mugwort has physiological healing properties, it's logical that it also has magical healing properties.
You can also narrow down your list. Work with the basic colors. And pick 5-10 herbs which are rather encompasing for their properties.
And even if you have to look things up for now... before long, with repitition, you'll learn them!

You have three options, for the most part.
1.) Read over your correspondences often, perhaps studying them each day for five minutes (no longer than 15, which is the duration of the average attention span).
2.) Give it time. Before long, you'll be able to recall these things with ease.
3.) Devise your own correspondences, which is really the best route. Since they are so personal, you'll be able to know them inside and out from the start. For example, Romani associates the color blue with protection, where as I associate black and red with protection. Why? That's what these colors evoke in me in terms of an emotional, mental, and physical response. Do not adhere to correspondences that others go by all the time, or you'll wind up trying to follow in someone else's shoes. When you have correspondences that relate to you personally, it's merely a matter of recalling who you are and that comes very easily.

If you look over them carefully you'll usually see that they form a few sets. Once you divide them that way, you only need to remember the pattern.
For example... one of the reasons elemental corespondences are so popular is they organize many other corespondences. Air/infancy/thought....etc.
