I have time travelled a few times, but with no machine. It is a spiritual journey, and it sucked! It placed me at points in my life, and couldnt get to the actual points I wanted, so that I could make the changes that I thought I needed. Man that was long winded. Also it is a very scary feeling and disorienting doesnt even begin to cover it.

it helps. But then you fall asleep in the jet and end up late or crashing anyway! :)

bump for sentiment of an unknown kind.

come now do you really think the past can be changed? think about this if yopu did some how go back in time and change things one of two things would happen either you would just access an alternate timeline that alrwady existed or you would change that something, but in changing it you would erase all memory of that experience from your self and thereby would not know to go back and change that event in the future which would thereby lead to that event happening anyway. wow talk about long winded

heheh, thats not why I bumped it, but yes, I have changed the past. but its not like you think. there is no jumping back to where I left. going back in time, means you are there... period. you dont fix stuff and jump forward.

so then it is the idea of jumping into ones own body and in the past so not only do you have knowledge of your current choices but of wrong one you have made and gone back to change? sort of sounds like cheating to me, but hey thats just me talking.

Where are all the future visitors to the past? We could find evidence of 2500-CE-style artifacts in 500 BCE digs if time travel were possible.

Ya know.. i love that episode of the Simpsons where Homer goes to fix the toaster, and it ends up bringing him back in time. Everytime he goes back in time, he messes something up, and then comes back and the world is way different... that was one of the best episodes.. "Oh I wish I wish I hadn't of squished that fish.."
heh...

ah, but you discover in time travel, that time is pretty rigid, and you cant make the changes you want. Its quite frustrating and very depressing. So, you are in your body, with your knowledge, and a limited amount of time before your new role in time absorbs you to the point of........ well thats just it. And, if others do this, would it not explain many of the strange phenomenon? Psychic? call 1-800-Time-ick.

i dont think its possible. if youd change the past, the present where you came from would never exist so you couldnt travel from that point. and the furure hasnt happend yet so theres really nowhere to go.

thats just it, time as you know it now, is at a point. the future is like the blank. you bring nothing back with you, you merely rewind the vcr of time, insert spirit in location, and push play. Now, you have knowledge, but yet all attempts to change a hurt, fail. Also need to add, that time travel as I know it, is not always voluntary, nor do I control any aspect of destination. It is merely more of a spiritual awakening.

"why havent we felt the impact of time travelers?"
why would you? or would you recognize it?
are all oracles paid attention to? it is impossible to pin down, and I myself have no clear description of it..... only that I dislike doing it, and that nothing changes that I wished changed. Other stupid stuff does, but mostly small cosmetic things.

You know, I think I know what you're talking about.

I've had this experience before. . . where I was standing there, and I suddenly just. . .stopped. And I swear, I looked around, and it was this sensation that I had come back to this point over and over. . . yet I guess the fact that I'm here now *forward* of it, means that . . I guess. . . it went forward. . . score? o_O ?

Does that make any sense?

But I suppose that would explain that one time!

(don't mind me! :sunny: *in the process of packing* )

thats pretty close or maybe dead on, what I am talking about.
Now, whether you go back again? that is the unknown. would explain a lot of Deja' Vu.

At the time, it instilled a sense of panic in me. 8O I was with my at-that-time-boyfriend, and I just panicked, that we kept doing that point, that I kept doing it, er. . . well. . . I don't quite know how to explain it, and it grows fuzzier with time. But it just made me panic.

I guess things went better this time through? Ah, I'm happy with life as it is. Life is! Besides, I'm not with that fellow anymore, and I'd really rather never spend my life with him. *shudders*

I wonder if my 'future' feelings influenced my choices? But I suppose they were the correct choices for this life, anyway. . . :D yesss. . .

Oh, the contemplation of time is a mind-boggling thing. It could easily drive you insane.
