I am putting together a basket for my best friend to help her relax and de-stress. I was wondering which scents are the best to help you relax?

Make sure that you are getting oils that are suitable for aromatherapy! The best are lavendar, jasmine absolute & neroli.

Lavender definetly, and also vanilla, cedar, sage, and rose.
Hope that helps, and that your friend gets de-stressed. :-)

Hmmm...I'd consider those last too aphrodesiacs.
But definately lavender...maybe chamomile and ylang-ylang.

Spearmint and eucalyptus mixed together are very clean and relaxing scents when mixed together also. Jasmine and Ylang Ylang are both considered an aphrodisiacs, but they are both considered very relaxing. Lavender and sandalwood would be good also.

Lavendar.
It's so sweet that you're putting together a basket for her!! You could perhaps put some lavendar soap/bathsalts in there too so that she can relax in a bath. A small vile of lavendar oil and a couple sticks would be nice too. Since lavendar is a very popular scent, you'll be able to find products and such that are made with it everywhere.
I hope she feels better soon!

Gotta agree with lavender.
I made a blend of Cedarwood, lavender and sweet orange. Very relaxing and grounding in those icky times of stress- when you feel like you are running around like a chicken with its head cut off.
If she is depressed, tired and stressed, bergomot is a nice addition. Also Sweet orange like I mentioned before.
That is a really nice thing you are doing.
And yes, please make sure you are using "real" essential oil- not synthetic FO's, which smell nice, but don't do much else.

Aphrodesiacs, well that explains my actions when I use those oils. I like it! hehehehe

Sandalwood and rose together always help me relax. Lavender's a good one and I also like amber. It's sweet, but not sickly and not overwhelming.
