Hey Im so behind need help!!!

Okay i havent practiced since i was 13 (im 18 now) so im 5 yrs behind on stuff and im so rusty :whatgives I really need help on my book of shadows too i cant seem to find the right info i needs off the net, I dont have enough money to just buy books yet. I need an experienced mentor type :tub: please help im so pathetic

Hey, Sam?

You posted a bunch of messages within about 5 minutes. MW forums aren't a chat: it may be that no one was reading that specific forum right then. (You posted about 2am in the morning my time, for example. I was asleep.)

First, you're not behind. How can you be behind? Religious and magical paths are lifelong things. You'll learn something every day, hopefully.

Second: It'd be easier for people to help you if you were a little more clear what you're interested in. You mention a book of shadows: is your focus Wicca? Magic? Which kind? What do you want to learn? Do you have any particular interests?

People will likely find it easier to make suggestions if you can be a little more specific. If you'd like to PM me, feel free, but you may get a lot more help if you can post some more about your interests in this thread.

all the stuff me mum taught me is gone. I dont know the gods or goddesses, my book is EMPTY and i dont even know how to set up an alter..... my moms older so she cant remember anything. I just need a mentor type to help out. I need alot of it. Im interested in everything that hased to do with magick. -_- *sigh* i just feel inatiquite..

Well, as you know religion is a very vast and complex topic. I think what your asking isn't really able to be answered on the board here. Take up some of the offers you've had, and pm some people to talk. Get a whole bunch of ideas from them (the basics aren't the same for everybody) and go with what your heart tells you is right for you. Feel free to pm me if you want to talk, I'll do what I can to help. As for the books issue, have you tried your local library? I don't know about where you live, but here they have a few books, incidentally the better ones (adler's drawing down the moon for instance) at the library.

I understand what you're going through. There are books you can check out to help you on your spiritual journey that don't really look suspicious. I just checked out a book on Celtic mythology today and nobody looked at me like I'm weird.

Well, like I said in another of your posts, I'm in the same boat as you. Trying to relearn everything. Maybe we can help each other out.

:reading: It might be worth you reading through some of these and then formulating your questions based on more specific problems. Your questions are so broad at the moment it's difficult to know where to start to help you.

Don't forget that MW is also a wonderful resource - not only the links section and the search function but also with the knowledge that the members have. There are some very experienced people here that will help you, but get a bit of reading in to decide what exactly you need help with. :)
