Robin Wood Tarot deck

The Spread

5 3 1 2 4

=================================================

5 = What you’re still "dealing with," "digesting,"and "not 'letting go' of"; 3 = the Recent Past; 1 = the Present; 2 = the Near Future; 4 = the Far Future -- What "may occur" if No Changes are made by you . . .

Good-evening, "Willow"!

I drew three Major Tarot keys; an overwhelming majority in a simple, five-card reading! And the "general thought" when this occurs is--"What?"--that "Situations and/or Events are Out of your Hands" (which I *don’t* usually believe, ya know, because N.O.T.H.I.N.G. is "out of anybody’s ‘hands’," ultimately, I think) BUT?!!? in this particular Tarot reading there’re soooooo many similar and "obvious pointers"--TO ME and MY INTUITION"--that I *do think* you can take this to be the case ("IF" you don’t *want* what I see and/or--if you *do not*--don’t take necessary steps to avoid them).

Make sense?

"Change Change CHANGE!!!" continually appeared thru-out the reading; both in "changes you have went/been ‘going thru’ and accomplishing, in great measure & success, as well as "changes" that you had THOUGHT were completed and "done with," PLUS "changes" that you may not desire in the Very Near and/or Future "Further on down the road . . ."

There were also two "ill-dignified" (i.e., "reversed") Tarot cards, and they’re of MAJOR INFLUENCE for one’s the Ace of Wands in position FOUR--the Future, and the other’s a major Tarot key #10/Wheel of Fortune appearing in position FIVE--What you’re STILL "dealing with," currently . . .

The FOUR on the far right and the FIVE on the far left; Both Ends of the Spread!!!

Also, while I was shuffling a Tarot card "feel out" and--do you remember what I always say? "If it’s ‘On the floor’ it’s thru the door!" Meaning: The card goes into position ONE and I treat it "specially," and as a Significator, at the *very* least!

I treat it as MOST IMPORTANT and consider the card w/great thought and respect. I mean, when "something ‘jumps out’ at you, you’d best Pay some ATTENTION to it," right?

Right!

Now, then:

#13/Death is the Tarot key that "accidentally" fell from the deck while I was shuffling and it goes on position ONE; The Present.

#13/Death has ALWAYS got a "bad rap;" ALWAYS! Actually, I’ve always liked to see the key when it appears in readings, and even ill-dignified (that is: "reversed") it’s still not "negative," in total, to me and my experience.

As I said, tho: "Change Change CHANGE!!!" has happen, and "change" is gonna happen, again, to and in your life as it has been happening--most for your benefit, as of lately--and as it will happened--whether you "like it" or fail to take the required actions to CHANGE the "change" (((HAaaa!!! I’m sorry," but . . . ‘tis True!))) which most certainly--I "see," at least--approacheth you, soon . . .

***Note: I also get a sense that with the Holiday Season fast approaching that that has "something" to do w/this "change" I see ALL THRU-OUT this reading***

However, keepin mind that--to me--#13/Death is a *good* key and well-dignified (as it appeared, here) is most always ALWAYS "change for the better!"

BUT! Sometimes this "change" is very VERY quick and we don’t always "se it to be" for the *good,* at the time, altho it *is!*

Such is LIFE when seen in retrospect, isn’t it?

Position TWO--the Near Future:#9/The Hermit

(Two major keys in a row! Hmm . . . And, BOTH of them well-dignified!)

AND? Not only "all that," but (in Robin Woods Tarot deck) #13/Death is *NOT* "traditional," even though there’s (always???) been TWO DIFFERENT VERSIONS of the #13/Death key (***cf: my comments on the "Most Feared Tarot Cards," I think, somewhere in the "MW Archive" where I show pictures of the differences, et al.***)

http://www.mysticwicks.com/showthread.php?t=37921 (http://www.mysticwicks.com/showthread.php?t=37921)

BOTH figures in these two Tarot keys are "looking" DOWN as well as POINTING down w/their "staves" (well? #13/Death’s holding the "stick" of the "flag pole"), which is "curious," to me . . . I think that this is because their BOTH "illuminating" keys, both "searching" (LOOKING?) for the/some/ANY Truth and Enlightenment, which I’m willing to bet that YOU’VE recently found some of, aye "Willow?"

Maybe? A "wee-bit," do’ya gander? Have you been *sleeping* well or badly, lately? I bet "badly," huh? And? What do you do when you’ve insomnia? Do you READ? What do you read? Do you read . . . (Now, THIS is a *big stretch,* right HERE!!!) "magickial texts?"

Have you been "stretching" and trying to read things on "ancient" philosophies? Something "out-of-the-norm," for you? Outside of your "culture," at all?

You’ve also been reading "self-help" books from Dr Wayne Dyer and Marriane Williamson and texts gleaned from what you’ve seen on television; on Oprah or Dr. Phil or PBS or . . .

Have you also been reading any "old books" that you read when you were a girl? Hmm . . .

(((***Let me know if I’m "right" or "wrong," in this, please? Thx!***)

I see that you HAVE gained a lot of "knowledge," as of late, and that "The Teacher’s ready to arrive . . ." That is, if s/he hasn’t "arrived" and has already *SPOKEN to YOU* already.

I hope that you didn’t *miss* them!!! Truly.

If so? Keep your eyes PEELED!

Position THREE--the Recent Past--the "6 of Pentacles":

This is the "Gift Giver" cart in Robin Wood’s Tarot deck. He’s the one who NEVER FORGETS OUTSTANDING ACCOUNTS! He’s like the "Shylock" in Shakespeare’s "The Merchant of Venice" (is that the *correct* play? I’ve not looked it up) who *insists* upon getting "his ‘pound of flesh’," remember?

He’s what we’d call a "loan shark," in modern day!

Have you been feeling like you’ve been doing "everything for everybody else" and no one "notices" or appreciates that fact or--worse!--they don’t do "anything for YOU?"

Does anyone "owe you money?" Have they owed you for a looooooong time, now? And? If it’s NOT "money," then I bet that "someone" (and? I "see" that this is "someone" close to you and that it’s a male and that it’s . . . Is "it" your HUSBAND, by any chance? Hmmm . . .)

I think that you should do everything that you can--and *RIGHT NOW!!!*--in order to "take a break" and to "pamper" yourself, no matter the expense! Make it "work!" Take steps in order to "afford" it, if need me, because . . . You won’t have a chance to in the approaching weeks and months to come. Seriously. DO IT, now . . . "Forsaking All Others . . ." Isn’t that what the "marriage vows" traditional say?

‘tis!

Or? If I AM completely *WRONG* in what I said, above, then, I bet you $1,000,000.00 dollars (in "Karma Points!") that something EXACTLY SIMILAR has just been "resolved," and for the "good," to boot!

"Change Change CHANGE!!!"

(((Or? Didn’t you think of "change" as being "silver?" The "change" in your POCKETS?!? No? Well!!! Think on it, now,
then . . .)))
Position FOUR--What’ll occur IF you do Nothing to Change it--the Ace of Wands (ill-dignified):

ALLLLlllllllll "Aces" are very "powerful" Tarot cards, to put state it lightly. They "mean" many, many different things regarding the particular querant and w/in the Tarot reading and in their relationship to ALL OTHER tarot CARDS and where they appear in their Position in the Tarot spread.

And the Ace of Wands in the Robin Wood deck is a PHALLIC SYMBOL, bare none, to say the LEAST! There’s absolutely no denying the fact (and it’s not that far of a "stretch," really). Think about it: the suit of "Wands" equals--"What?"--Fire? Spring? Power? Energy? New Life? Well-being? Health? Stamina? et catera, et cetera, &c . . .

Whelp, "Willow" . . . REVERSE ALL OF THESE ATTRIBUTES,* here ("I’m sorry . . .") for the Ace of Wands is ILL-Dignified, and--compare this in regard to Positions TWO w/#9/The Hermit and your most recent "insomnia" and "searches for ‘meaning’ and New Spirituality"/philosophy/"meaning" as well as Position THREE; the Recent Pat w/the 6 of Pentacles--the "Accountant" who "Never, ever forgets another’s ‘debt’" and see--for yourself--how these two ARE or MIGHT BE influencing what even YOU CAN SEE to be events in your immediate and iminate FUTURE?!!?

Whew . . . Really, tho; the Ace of Wands in this Position is . . . ahh . . . Let’s just say that I’d "prefer" another--*any other???*--Tarot card for myself in the Future!

But? That’s just "me . . ."

Okay! Now for the "Worse Part!!!" Are you "sitting down?" Umm . . . Let me just come out and *ask you,* all right?

All right: Why do YOU think that the Tarot keys in Positions ONE and TWO (#13/Death & #9/The Hermit, remember) are "looking DOWN?" Why do you think that they are "holding ‘sticks/poles/staves’?")

*I think* that they’re . . . in need of "support" and that they’re "searching in the darkness" for some/ANY *light* that they can find!!!

I think . . . well? No matter what I "think," it’s most imp[ortant what YOU "think," ultimately, isn’t it?

"’tis!"

Robin Wood’s #10/Wheel of Fortune is *literally* a Roulette Wheel (yes, with a "silver ball" rotating ‘round it, and "everything") and the WOMAN’s face and torso who is on the key is drawn in eight separate and different "stages;" from Great Happiness-to-Heart wrenching Grief (it really IS a "beautifully drawn" and interpretation adaptation of the traditional key, I think!) and Robin herself says that it’s "Always reminded me of a ‘roller-coaster’ ride . . ." Like:

"Hold on, TIGHT!!!"

Position FIVE--What you are still "holding on to" & won’t Let Go-- #10/Wheel of Fortune (Ill-dignified):

SOOoooo . . ."Hold on TIGHT," "Willow," ‘cause "the times are a CHANGIN’!!!"

"Change Change CHANGE!!!"

(((***Don’t say that I "didn’t ‘warn’ Ya!!!***)))

And . . . (I really "should" STOP, here, I know, but . . .) these CHANGES--"Why can’t you *ACCEPT* them?" WHY???--because, I see w/the key being "ill-dignified" and it this most important and telling position that . . . (again: #10/The Wheel *is* a very VERY "powerfully strong" key, and, Reversed??? UMMmmm . . .) these "changes" will most likely be *EXTREME* and they’ll come at you in a *VARITY* of ways!

For example; you’ll be Healthy and then Sick; Happy one day and Miserable the very next; Rich and Poor; Hot vs. Cold; Loving then Hateful, &c . . . BUT!!! Then, as if this isn’t enough--and I guess that it ISN’T, since you "cannot ‘let go’!"--these feeling and events will COME BACK; they’ll RETURN! That is, until you "degust" whatever it is that you’re FIGHTING so hard to NOT accept . . .

Make any "sense?" Good.

But, again: "Why?" (((I’m "asking" YOU, hypothetically, of course!)))

Go back to #9/The Hermit, yet again, in Position TWO ("the Near Future") and ask yourself: "Have I ‘missed something’ or SOMEONE? Some body who could have and might have or wanted to HELP ME, but I . . ."

As in Position THREE, as well: Are you "holding anyone who ‘owes you’ a *POUND OF FLESH?*" figuratively or literally as a "hostage" until they "pay you back" whatever it is that--you think!--they "owe" you?!?

Thank you for allowing me to read the Tarot for you and any disparages (even MORE SO than "compliments," and/or "correct comments," here, by myself, on your regard) are encourage.

Slan leat,

Hello, old friend

You were right, I've been experiencing a LOT of changes, mostly in regards to a relationship which has been ending/not ending for about a month now.

Death is very apropo here, b/c something (the relationship) has died, but I can foresee something new and green and strong and fragrant appearing in its place.

And I have been sleeping awfully....cannot stay asleep past 3:00 for the past 3-4 weeks, and not able to eat much. It's awful what heartache does, but I think I'm coming out of it. I've never liked the month of NOvember to begin with, and to have a double whammy of the delection/breakup phase just slammed me hard.

I can't sleep, but I haven't been able to focus on reading either, so maybe a new book is needed soon.

And I really do need a spa day, maybe I will get one for my upcoming birthday :bigblue:

I drew the 6 of Pentacles last week and had a really new insight about it, hopefully I wrote it down at home....I'll tell ya later.

Hello, old friend
OLA!

I can't sleep, but I haven't been able to focus on reading either, so maybe a new book is needed soon.
Well! I can most CERTAINLY suggest some good "get my mind off it all" FICTION, for ya! (The "good, important, literary-kinda fiction," too, mind you!):

*Blue Shoe* by Anne Lamott

(or ANYTHING by Anne Lamott! She's "on-line," too, at "various places." A "waaaaaaaaay cool" writer and "my kinda gal," too boot!) In fact? Tell ya what . . . get *Blue Shoe*--buy it or got to the library--and I'll re-read it, again, w/ya!

Hell, we could start a lil Chylde770 Book Club, here!!! Ha!

"Honey," Angela replied, "you don't know yourself well enough right now to commit suicide. So it would be considered a homocide." *Blue Shoe* p. 40.

It IS a "funny book" (very)!

Or, mayhap; We could do a "Safe Study" of The Complete Poems of Emily Dickinson!!! You could go ahead and get ANY BOOK--get one edited by Thomas H. Johnson--because I can certainly "keep up . . ."I'm a "Dickinson scholar," remember.

It helps, too, to know that EVERY SINGLE ONE of her poems can be sung to the tune of "Yellow Rose of Texas." For example:

141
(376)

Of Course - I prayed
And did God care?
He cared as much as on the Air
A Bird - had stamped her foot -
And cried "Give me" -
My reason - Life -
I had not had - but for Yourself -
'Twere better Charity
To leave me in the Atom's Tomb -
Merry, and Nought, and gay, and numb -
Than this smart Misery.

1862 // 1922

Or? If you'd really REALLY like to sink your teeth into some "Good S*it" and get really, totally "lost," how 'bout *The Illuminatus! Trilogy* by Robert Anton Wilson (<== a "persoanl friend" of mine!) & Robert Shaw???

Well? On third thought let us just stick to--at least at first--to the Lamott and Emily, okay?

Okay!

ZANDER!!!!

You made me snort coffee laced with gingerbread 1/2&1/2 through my nose!!!

That "bit" about being able to "sing" just about EVERY Emily Dickinson poem to the tune of "The Yellow Rose of Texas?!!?" 'Tis TRUE! Try it!

Wanna hear it here it go:

"De dee-dee de de dee-dee dee
"De dee-dee de de dee!
"De dee-dee de de dee-dee dee
"de dee-dee de de dee!"

Et Cetera . . .

((Too TRUE!!!)))

But . . . Geez . . . Wish "someone//ANYone'd" make ME "snort coffee thru my nostrils," geez . . . I am sooooooooooo BOARD, anymore I could SCREAM. Almost. And? And I never EVER used to "get" BORED . . . Jaysus . . . Humph!

I'm looking at Lamott's "Blue Shoe," right now as I type this (but I'm alREADY ready, like four, five books . . .), so? Do you care to tackle it? It's an EZ Read and I KNOW that you'll love it.

Trust me.

Now, then: Back to The Real Work; that of the Tarot.

You remember my Visa card that was stolen 3 weeks ago? Well . . . The bank FINALLY got me a new one!

What time's the show? It's three hours ahead, there, currently, correct?

Alright! Let's "do it!" I can't get a Cheaptickets.com tic, but, I don't care. I can be at Sky Harbor airport in . . . say: 30 minutes?

Could you, ahh, "Hold a PLACARD," or something, for me so I'll see ya when I disembark from the plane on your end? Thanks so!
