i have a small Jade dragon (real) And i was wondering what god/goddess would it possobly represent if there is one because i think it may be calling to me. I went to the general talk section and looked at the god/dess forums but none of them really discuss there symbolisms. I am on the search for my focused god/dess i think my spritual animal it the "rodent" or rabbit or possibly the feline.... i have all three and i get along quite well i gain energy from them as well. they make me feel stronger in time of need. anyways i so of went off topic there umm the jade dragon maybe im mistaken about it but it just i dont know keeps looking at me so to speak like it want attention

I've never heard that. In what I've found at least, the Celts in general didn't seem to have to many things that were outright called Dragons, but there is always more to learn :).

The West historically didn't often look at Dragons as "good" because, well, they tend to burn and pillage a lot in the medieval folk tales you hear.

You should try looking at Chinese mythology, because they like dragons, and Jade is commonly used stone there, I think.

i would think buddha or kwan yin...

from the book of goddesses and heroines by patricia monaghan: "her statues show her...attended by the dragon-girl lung nu."

i'm sure you'll find more about both buddha and kwan yin online if you look. hope that helps.

I agree with the post about looking into Far-Eastern pantheons... Japanese, Chinese, Korean... there is a long list of nationalities.... but something from that sector of the world. Dragons are seen as direct dieties in a few of the old faiths, and are used symbolicly, as well as directly, by the practitioners of those respective paths. Might be someting worthwhile for you to look into.

you definatly need to do some research. The dragons calling to you might be related to guides as well as god/goddess. My suggestion would be to meditate on the dragon. If you are new to meditation still, you can even put it under your pillow when you sleep and ask that the necessary message come to you in your dreams.
