Ok, we've now found out what our Personality cards are in the exercise here: http://www.mysticwicks.com/showthread.php?t=74386

Now I thought we'd move on to understanding ourselves a bit better by using this spread. I created this with each # 1-9 and 11 & 12, each number represents a personality trait. Shuffle your cards and lay out one for each number. You will have a total of 11 cards when you are done. You need to determine how the card is telling you that you are manifesting the traits of the number. Are you doing a good job of manifesting #1? Do you need to work on #9 a little bit?

Here is the spread:

1. Leadership, expressing individuality

2. Cooperation, diplomacy, adaptability

3. Creativity, communication, self-expression

4. Foundations, hard work (not like a job), growth

5. Freedom, sense of adventure

6. Nurturing, caring for family & community

7. Knowledge, seeking perfection, mysticism

8. Practicality, ambition, financial stability

9. Humanitarian, obligation, philanthropy

11. Intuition, illumination, idealist, working for humanity

22. The Master Builder, large endeavors, leading humanity

I had some time while dinner was cooking so I figured I'd go ahead and do this one.

1. Leadership, etc: Ace of Wands
In this instance I'm taking the Ace of Wands to mean that I'm grabbing the bull by the horns and making things happen. Instead of waiting around and waiting for changes to occur in my life, I'm moving forward and taking charge of my destiny.

2. Diplomacy, cooperation, etc: 9 of Wands
As far as my relationship with others lately, I've been guarded. On alot of levels. :) I've distanced myself from many people for defensive reasons. This has affected my personal real-life relationships, my online relationships, my work relationships and probably others that I'm not even aware of. Perhaps I need to let a few of these walls down and let some people back inside.

3. Communication, etc: 10 of Wands
I think this means I feel that I may have too many obligations right now. This may be true, but I don't think I'll ever climb out from under them all. I'm a Gemini and I get bored easily, I need lots of outlets to keep my interest. ;) As an example I am currently a member of this and about 6 other forums, I'm trying to put together a Spiral Scouts group, I'm a member of a local "open circle" that has meeting 2x a month and then there's my friends, family, etc.

4. Foundations, hard work, etc: 7 of Swords
I think this could be telling me that my foundations aren't as solid as I think they are. I'm buying that. There is still alot of studying I need to do in several areas of my life, including tarot (elemental dignities, astrological associations, qaballah, lots more). I'm also thinking that the foundations of some of my relationships may need work, I've been neglecting a few things.

5. Freedom, adventure, etc: Wheel of Fortune
The Wheel is turning. Round and round and round she goes and where she stops nobody knows! :spinner: Lots of things are changing and some of those changes may affect the amount of free time I have. My kids are growing up a bit so I need to re-evaluate some of the freedoms I allow them to have. 5 isn't just about our own freedom, but how we affect the freedom of others.

6. Nurturing, family, etc: Strength
There are alot of demons I have to overcome with regards to my family. I won't get in to them all here.

7. Mysticism, knowledge, etc: Justice
This makes sense to me. I'm currently involved in studying tarot and I'm thinking of studying the Golden Dawn, Crowley and Ceremonial Magick next. This could involve alot of inner work and especially visualization and meditative stuff.

8. Practicality, financial matters, etc: Empress
Finding creative ways to deal with my financial issues. I'm also thinking that there are some practical and creative ways I can deal with some other areas of my life. Time to start thinking out of the box. Just because something works for someone else doesn't mean it will work for me, and I need to start figuring out what DOES work for me. :)

9. Philanthropy, etc: Page of Swords
Well, I'm thinking the Page has the least amount of rank in the court card system. I do contribute to a few things, but we can't contribute alot of money ever. Some of the things we do are donating to the local homeless shelter instead of having a yard sale, donating used books or decks to our circle's library, helping out on here if the "help a member" fund is activated, and so on. So, I may not be giving "Kingly" sums to charitable things, but I'm helping out where I can. Donating my time isn't always possible either, but I do that where I can as well.

11. Intuition, idealism, etc: 5 of Swords
I had to look this card up, it's been so long since I've seen it. I think this one is telling me that when I think I'm helping someone, I may in fact be hurting thier feelings. While that is never my intention, I think I may sometimes come across as cold and unfeeling. :eyebrow: Maybe I should watch that. But this is also the "no win situation" card. So, personally, I'd rather come across as being uncaring, than to allow misinformation or faulty thinking to continue. I think I'll keep my "meanie" title. :p

22. Greater purpose, large endeavors, etc: Knight of Swords
Well, this one shows me that I am not yet ready to lead the masses. Well, I already knew that! :uhhuhuh: I still have too far to go in my own studies to be leading charges and having others follow me into what is still the unknown. I'll let someone else worry about the "grand design" and "greater purpose" for now.
