Hello,
This web page caught my eye ... as I am a mystic ... and my last name is Wicks. Very convenient.
I'm new here. A Rosicrucian ... with interests in Nordic spirituality and Kundalini Yoga.
Hello people.

Hi there!
I look forward to picking your brains about the Rosicrucians :)
It's something I've always had an interest in, but never had a chance to chat to someone who has reliable experience.
Welcome to MW!

Aw, thanks. If you feel drawn to "paganism" then Rosicrucianism has some affinity to that. Generally speaking, I think all "authentic" spiritual awakenings often cause people to feel more attuned to Nature, for what it's worth. That's in part why those ultra-conservatives who whine about "environmentalists" are so telling, despite the fact that ... well ... don't get me started.
At any rate, Rosicrucianism has its roots in the Hermetic teachings of ancient Egypt, for what it's worth.
Cheers,
Corey

Why thanks for the welcome Faeawyn. What beautiful banners. I long for more earthy-company ... of those who are more attuned to the earth and less driven by greed. Faeawyn ... that name reminds me of Eowyn ... the Princess of Rohan in Lord of the Rings. She was beautiful!

Ah, thanks for the Welcome too Draco. (The constellation was a central part of the symbolism of the Apocalypse ... quite misunderstood, however.)
Thanks for the welcome. I feel that the time has come for European-Americans to recapture their "pagan" roots that were destroyed by "Christian" Europe. With the destruction of Teutonic/Nordic culture, Iceland became the indigenous European culture's "Reservation." Just thought I'd throw that out there, for what it's worth.

Sounds like you hold the same opinion about right wing politics that I do :bigredgri .
And that's very interesting about the rosicrucians having roots in Egyptian philosophy...I follow a Kemetic path so I wonder if those philosoophies aren't similar to my own...

Hello Morrigen and fellow mystic Wickses,
You all are a very welcoming group. Thanks for all the nice welcomes.
Yeah, the Rosicrucians are an interesting bunch, for sure. There is a great variety of Rosicrucian groups, as this link demonstrates ...
Modern Rosicrucian Groups (http://www.levity.com/alchemy/rosi_grp.html)
As for the right-wing, well, changes are certainly in store for Christian fundamentalists, since a judge recently ruled against God. That's right ... against God. Here's the link ...
Judge orders God to break up (http://www.rc-salon.com/salon/judge/judge.html)
