Anyone with the dali tarot cards? Would you recommend these cards to a beginner.

i was lucky enough to be gifted with a set a couple solstices ago.
i would not recommend them for a beginner. they're really expensive, first off. the edges are rimmed in gold , for goodness sake. i find them difficult to use; the gold leaves little gold dusty bits, which if nothing else turns me away from using them often for fear of eventually ruining them. i got them myself for my collection.
it depends on whether you're planning on actually using them to start with. i find the images a little vague; if you're new to tarot symbolism these will definitely be no help, imo. plus, i don't know that there's much literature available to 'teach' the meanings to you. (not a problem if you're going the intuitive route, but still nice to have on hand.)
if, however, you're talking about being a beginner collector , looking at them as art, then yes, absolutely. the cards are gorgeous, especially if you're into dali.
