Well, because of my anxiety ive been so scared to see a doctor, even my registered doctor. Anywho, my bf has booked a phone appt with a female doctor who i really like, she'll be calling in a couple of hours... i feel more comfortable doing a phone appt than having to go in, and if she wants me in, at least i can talk to her first & she knows why i'm there.

I didn't know you could get phone appts either lol my bf rung up and asked, told them a briefly what the problem is and the dr rings back.

Anyway, the doctor has rung, she didn't talk to me she just asked my bf the main problems... like, i can't go out on my own, i avoid all social situations, think im suffering some depression and some other stuff.

She was really helpful, she has booked me an appt tomorrow to go and see her. She said obviously, she can't treat me over the phone by talking to my bf lol and she wants to discuss it with me properly.

She said shes had quite a few ppl go in with the same problem, that actually makes me feel a bit better... knowing i'm not the first one to go in with a social problem (of course, that wouldn't be the case)

Anyway, i will let you know how my appt goes tomorrow. I'm real nervous, but im going to do it!!

It can be kept under control - but you need to keep it at that, i let myself slip & things have become worse. You can buy things from the pharmacist like kalms, its a natural med to keep you calm, which might be enough for you :) i'm here anyway, if you want to talk :)

I went through that for a couple of years and it got to the point where I couldn't leave the house. Ick.

Through medication and therapy I am much better now, not needing medication for my anxiety any more and starting to plan life again! Yay me!!!!

Hey, I can so relate to what you're going through. I have social anxiety as well and I know it can be a real pain in the butt. I'm glad that you're talking to someone and I really hope it helps. I can't imagine having children on top of it all. Wow! You're amazing! lol :hugz:
