yes, actually.
i have invoked Her a few times for, ehm... 'personal' rituals with the Dragonfly, and then again last year for a handfasting i was doing. that energy took me a week to ground!

Wow, good link! I like reading about Aphrodite and allow her into my life. I don't let her play a big part in my life, she tends to confuse situations. I find that it's hard to get to know her. That's just me though.

Well, Aphrodite has been called "The Mischevious Lover". Shes supposed to be able to be a naughty, playfull girl as well as a mature, loving, dedicated woman. She represents the duality in love and attraction. She is often involved in affairs of the heart, love triangles, new relationships, dalliances of all shapes and forms. Said to be VERY beautiful and sensual, able to wrap mortal men around her finger. very seductive.
I have never worked with her but I have offered her prayers for the sucess of a relationship. I would immagine shes a very independant goddess, fond of pleasure but able to keep her head. Flaws just like some of us.

Aphrodite is a huge part of my life (Kali and Her make a surprisingly good duo:). My experience have really been about cultivating self love, not that She doesn't like to see us in love, but at least with me I have had to over come alot of my own issues before she blessed me with a realationship.
I think what Antoninus said about Her is very true, She is both a playful lover and a dedicated, mature Woman!

i see Her as more of a goddess of beauty... the beauty of love, of self-confidence, of physical nature.
when i think about Aphrodite i think about art, nature, sex, music, color, nurturing... all the things that bring beauty into our lives.
