i did a reading for myself, but it really confused me--as in it could apply to a number of different parts of my life. I'm seeking a second opinion of sorts.
Can somebody give me a relationship reading? PM if you need more detail.
thanks.

Hi Mab! I've found that most of the readings that I do, or receive can be applied to many parts of my life. It seems like a sort of universal reading, even though I meant for it to be specific.
Instead of a whole new reading, would you mind posting the one you've already done? I'd be happy to take a look at it for you and add my $0.02. I find that when I get someone else's opinion on a reading or a card I already "know" that it can give me a new perspective and helps me learn. :)

It's nice to hear that other people only get general readings back for themselves too! I feel like no matter how I phrase the question, it always comes back an overall reading... but I have no problem being right on target for other people's questions. Go figure.

um....well....see, here's the thing. I use a deck some see as weird, or at the very least different, and--more importantly--I didn't write it down.:foopsies:

No problem, Mab. Although I will jump up on my soapbox for a sec to say "Write all your readings down, that way you can review them later and learn from them." *steps off of soapbox.
I'll try to get a quick one done for you today. Which deck are you using, btw?

I know. I know I should write them down, but I've been lazy. That's what happens when I do readings at 1am.
I use Crow's Magick. I like it, but a lot of ppl don't.

Mab, I didn't have time for your reading last night and it doesn't look like I'll make it today either. If someone else wants to give it a go, I'd appreciate it, and I apologize for not being available. Work and life are getting in the way of my tarot! :(

Okies, I had time after all! Yay!
Did a quickie 5 card reading, keeping in mind that I know nothing about this situation (I prefer it that way) I just kept it simple.
1. You: 3 of Cups
This relationship has been enjoyable for you so far. You're looking forward to more of the same. The time spent together seems like all had a good time and you left feeling loved and fulfilled. The company is comfortable and not too demanding. Drinks, dancing, generally all good things. :)
2. Other person: 2 of Pentacles
A balancing act is being performed here. Perhaps the relationship is demanding of time that this person feels they don't really have. Are they having to give up something else? Actually, in conjunction with the next card I'm going to ask if you've become involved with this person through the workplace? Perhaps the thought of keeping a relationship secret is why the balancing is coming in to play?
3. Positive of this relationship: 3 of Pentacles
Again, first thought is the workplace. The next thing I always suggest for this card is mastery. This is, IMO, a good card to see in a love reading. To me it means we've moved past the "getting to know you" awkwardness and now we feel comfortable and like the relationship is on a solid foundation. Pentacles are also earthy, which is nice in your love life. Not like wands which are fiery and passionate, but not very stable. Remember, Mother Nature is "earthy" but the ultimate in sensuality, no? ;)
4. Negatives of this relationship: 3 of Swords
When it gets bad, it can get very, very bad. Watch your words. DO NOT say anything in the heat of the moment that you will regret later. Obviously there is a great deal of caring here, or the potential for hurt would not be this strong.
5. Advice: Star
Hope springs eternal. This, IMO, is another sensual card (although I'm using the Halloween Deck, so not really in this one. LOL) It's usually depicted as a naked woman pouring water onto the ground and into a stream. Water is associated with emotions and, by me, with nurturing. This relationship, according to these cards, is worth nurturing and saving. It seems to be a worthwhile investment of your time. Don't let it go quite yet. :)
Does that help? Is it anything like what you got?

I sent a PM incase you want a more inclusive reading than you got from Lisa, though her reading seems pretty insightful.

Lisa--pretty durned accurate. I'd poke you, but it seems I have to spread some karma about first!
