You can try making a makeshift pendulum out of a piece of jewelry like a ring & tying on a piece of string. Hope your "baby" finds its way home soon. :(

Old folk tale find a missing object ritual.
Used it many a time to find a missing object (including a missing wallet).
Take a mug, preferably your usual mug, (it must be a mug or tea cup nnot a glass)
Place it on up side down on the counter or table or where ever you can see it but it doesn't interfere with day to day operations.
Forget about it.
Usually the missing item will reappear within 24 hours.
It's worth a try.

Ok! Here we go! I just put the mug out. It isn't the one I use most (that's a beer mug that I use for my coffee. My other mugs are too small. ;) hehe) but I use this one is probably my second favorite (definitely the one I use second most).

Don't go looking for the missing item.
Let the magic do it's own thing.
And the item will find you.
(I should mention there are a few exeptions, the item has been stolen or swallowed up by the hole in the ground that takes our things never to be seen again.)

Not yet. Every once in awhile I get this random thought (always the same one) of where it might be but push it aside cus I'm not supposed to dwell on it. I'll give it a little longer before I do anything.

OK , go with that thought, this hid and seek ritual works differently every time, if you have a thought to look in a particual place go with it. It's not as if you are dwelling on it and hunting through your whole home turning it up side down to find it. Unless your pendulum has wings or legs it can't come to you, you have to go to it.

Did you ignore your pendulum for too long? Or neglect it or piss it off? Maybe it doesn't want to be found at the moment. Perhaps if you offer it a comfy new bed or promise to use it more often or listen to it's advice more then it'll come back. I may be totally off mind you. It was just a stray thought. :)

At the time of the disappearance, there were alot of things going on so I didn't have as much time to play with it. So, if I ignored it, it wasn't intentional. <sigh> Sometimes life steps in the way...

Different people have different idea's to what there pendulum actually is but I belive it is an extension of you so as long as your enrgies and concentration are working then this next one will work just as well :D Its you not the pendulum that is the really magic being :sunny:

Well, I'm not sure what I think the pendulum is or how it works. All I know is that not all pendulums are created equal. What I mean is that I tried a bunch out before I chose this one (I picked it up first but tried the others out before I decided my first choice was right). Some of the others worked but weren't as responsive (some would swing less than others). Then were the other ones that wouldn't swing for me at all. It seemed like the minute I picked them up, they would start shaking and then wouldn't swing at all for me. Kinda weird. It was almost like when someone is afraid, you know, when they get the shakes? Anyways, that's why I'm so attached to this one. hehe That and the fact that it has a great sense of humor. :)

As soemone mentioned earlier, don't go out and buy one.
Make a temporary one to use.
Tie a string onto a favorite ring and see how it works, if not that ring, try another one, attatch a srting or cord to a favorite stone or crystal and try it out.
Use something that you already have a love, it just might surprise you.

it decided to take a small side trip somewhere (try looking in the unlikely places). Obviously this upset you. It's going to be a pain in the butt to find it, like a wild goose chase (I think your pendulum has a quirky sense of humor and is playing with you), like finding it in the dead end of a maze. But I'm pretty sure you're going to eventually find it, and from then on it's smoothe sailing!

I think that your pendulum might be testing YOU! ^^; I dono, I'm just talking for the cards hehe

You know... I've had the feeling that it was 'playing' with me, but I just can't understand why. It definitely does have a funny sense of humor. So maybe it just thinks it's funny. Who knows. I hope you're right and that I will find it. Thanks for your help.

LOL I know kind of how you feel. I have this wand who SERIOUSLY thinks he's god's gift to women. . . . and I sit there, and I tell him "you're a STICK!" LMAO he gets so pissed off when I do that. He hates being called "stick" 8O LOL

I think that the best tools have some quirk or annother. . . . and once you can convince them to work with you, then they're the best. ^^; just my thoughts on it.

Sort of... Almost right after it first disappeared, I ended up changing everything in the apartment around, painted, and cleaned the carpets. So, I've been in every inch of this place. (though not all at once!) I might have missed a spot but I can't think of one. <shrugs> It's like the proverbial 'bad kid'. You know... the kind that hides from their parents, even moving spots so they wont be found? It's hiding and it will continue to hide from me (mom) until it isn't funny to hide anymore! Grrr! :rolleyes:
