I would say no, it's most likely just a randomizer. I would only trust readings from people who know you.

I would only trust readings from people who know you.I disagree with this statement. :) If someone doesn't know you, you are more likely to get an unbiased and objective reading than you are from someone who knows you and has already formed an opinion about you and your question.
That being said, I don't do the quickie, online, computer generated readings. I like looking at them to be able to see more cards from a deck, but that's about it. There's no intuition at work there. No "human touch", which IMO is important. I have some friends who use them though, and they seem to feel that the readings are accurate. They just aren't for me. :)

well I didn't necessarily mean in person. I feel that to a degree I know some other MW members even without ever meeting them or talking in person. I just like having some feel of the person's energy before reading for them, even if it's just an impression from they're writing.

I have used computer-generated Tarot programs and I suprisingly got very accurate results. I wouldn't use those (and haven't used one at all since getting my own deck last year) for any really important issue, but I wouldn't discount any medium from being a potential tool of the Goddess :)

Same here... I figure the randomness of the computer is just about the same as the randomness of my shuffle. To me it makes no difference because I always ask my deities to give me the cards I need to see to give me my answers. :)
