we had so much fun last night...

my ex husband came over to watch the kidlets while i went out to a 'stitch and bitch' (a bunch of 'normal' ladies and me in a yarn store knitting/crocheting and chatting ;)).

i didn't get home until a little after ten because i ran into my cousin in the laundry room (she lives in the same co-op as me ;) and we chatted for a good 40 minutes...

and then it dawned on us that harry potter and the prisoner of azkaban was out on video yesterday... so my ex husband went off to rent it. and i woke up the kids and we stayed up until well after 1am eating junk food and watching harry potter.

(of course, none of us - the kids or i - had to be up in the morning, so it was do-able) :D

i love crazy nights like that. i remember my dad used to wake me up in the middle of the night when he got home from his job for a cup of tea or a glass of coke with him. those are some of the best memories, i hope that doing silly things like watching harry potter in the middle of the night will be good memories for my kids. (disclaimer - they had the choice to NOT watch and save it for the morning ;))

Some of my best memories from childhood are much the same..my Dad used to work nights, and get in 'round 4:30 and he'd wake us kids to see if we wanted to finish whatever was in his lunch box...I remember one night he'd stopped at 7-11 and brought chocolate bars and slurpees for us...my Mom wasn't too happy, with us being sugared up so early, but we remember it to this day as one of our greatest memories of Dad....

Cool! Sounds like a wonderful time. One of my favorite memories from childhood was when my parents would make breakfast for dinner. This was usually a friday night and they would get all goofy and act like kids. They would make waffles, eggs, bacon for dinner. This was fun times for us kids!

Sounds like fun.
I remeber when i was little My dad always worked thirds. so he got home really early in the morning so he would wake me up make cheese sticks and we would watch the three stooges.
