...Wear a pentacle even if you're not Pagan? Currently, I'm just an Animist, but I never take my pentacle off. It symbolizes the elements, which I still believe in. Is this ok?

I don't see a problem. It's not like it's copyrighted to Paganism only. :)

I personally think that it is okay. As long as you don't feel uncomfortable doing so..and as you said you still believe in the elements.

I believe it is perfectly ok. Meaning to anything symbolic comes from the heart of the individual!!! :)

MM~
The Pentagram is not copyrighted by the Pagan faiths, in fact it has been genuinely symbolic to Christians and Pythagoreans, as well as NeoPagans. It is the significance of the symbol that is meaningful to the individual and you are free to wear it if it expresses your beliefs.

OF COURSE it's okay! In fact, it's wonderful. Whoever finds power in the pentacle should surely use it. The pentacle is a very mystical symbol, and it's been used by Christians, Jews, ancient mystical traditions, and many others throughout history. Its simplicity and beauty are unique; its meanings are deep and powerful. There's nothing inherently pagan about the pentacle, I don't think; although it's become adopted by many pagans!
I love the pentacle. I would love to wear a pentacle ring or necklace. However, I do get the feeling that a lot of pagans wear a pentacle but don't have the sense of awe or mysticism that I do about it. For some, it seems to be mostly a symbol of being pagan. For me, it's not a symbol of being pagan at all. I find it to be a very beautiful symbol with deep spiritual significance simply because... simply because I find it to be a very beautiful symbol with deep spiritual significance!
Anyway, I just wanted to say, it's not the association with paganism that makes the pentacle beautiful to me. I like the pentacle for its own sake; for the mystical ideas I see in its form. I hope more Christians and others realise that the pentacle isn't necessarily a pagan symbol, and come to see the beauty in it...
So, if I wore a pentacle, and someone asked me, "Are you pagan?" I think I might respond.... "Yes, but that's not why I'm wearing it..."

I wear a pentacle bracelet sometimes, and I'm a Christian. I don't see what the problem is. I've even worn a pentacle & a cross at the same time & didn't burst into flames.

To me the pentacle is a powerful magical tool. It's also one of the most beautiful symbols I know. I think it's perfectly ok for anyone who feels a connection to it to wear one. :)

I say screw what others think. I mean its good that you're making sure if its "alright"(like any of us have the power to say you cannot wear it). But seriously do what you feel is right, wear what you want too. Hell I'm wearing a cross right now and I'm not christian.
